Priceline is having an 'up to 50% off haircare' sale from today until Thursday. From doing some searches on their website, most brands of hair care and hair colour are 50% off, but salon brands like Joico are only 30% off. Not all products are discounted for some brands.
Hair accessories are 50% off, and electrical appliances for hair are 30% off.

They can be, but not necessarily so, and also depends on the condition of your hair. The first time I used Redken it was a big improvement from Pantene. But I've been using Avon Supreme Oils shampoo and conditioner ($4.99/400ml when on sale) for years now - I find works as well for me as the Redken. Unfortunately Avon is ceasing operation in Australia at the end of this financial year, so I'll need to find alternatives :/
If you're happy with the condition of your hair with supermarket brands then I don't think there's any need to swap.

Definitely stocking up on Moosehead clay, last time I bought one of each but the Blue is definitely the best.
I'm wondering if anything for men's hair is decent? Most just seem to have caffeine, pity they don't stock more brands.

Also after reccs for hair dyes, for violet/purple. I have black/orange hair and so don't know what would work… the box only shows blonde/brows.
