TomTom Runner Cardio Sport Watch $68 + $4.95 Delivery @ JB Hi-Fi

550

JB HiFi just put the TOMTOM Runner Cardio watch for $68 on their website. There is another red/blk colour also available and they have the Multisport Cardio for $78.

These watches have the heart rate built into the watch so you don't have to wear the strap.

I can't see any end date for the offer on the site.

Was just about to post the same deal, thanks to runner65 the Multi-Sport is $78 https://www.jbhifi.com.au/tomtom/tomtom-multisport-cardio-gp…

I just bought this I reckon this is a better deal for extra $10 you get GPS

      • The runner has GPS also.

Thank you for the clarification. I do cycling more anyway. Still good.

    • I believe the Runner watch is smaller than the MultiSport watch. or has a smaller band, anyways. The multisport should be able to connect to a bluetooth wheel/cadence sensor to use in cycling mode.

Link broken and the watch seems to be $188 now

      • +1

White/Red has sold out, the black/red is still $188 the price wasn't reduced like the others.

    • Multisport Cardio is $188 now

  • Not sure if it has activity tracking and sleep tracking. Series 2 does, not sure about series 1.

    • Do you have to tell the device that you're going to sleep, just as if the device had no idea at all about what you were doing and hence needed to be told what you were doing?

      • +1

The machines know all the things

        Edit: Yes

  • Anyone know if this shares data with the iOS health app or/and with Runtastic?

bought the multisport. Thanks for the heads up.
There is a good iOs or Android TomTom app, and through the web-version of the TomTom MultiSport website you can specify which other exercise based platforms you want your data uploaded to.
I think this is how it works: the app on your phone or the app on the website takes the watch data, and uploads it to the TomTom site, and then shares that data to your other exercise platforms.

    Looks massive…

That's what every watching Matt Shirvington running says too.

      • The Matt Shirvington jokes started way too late in this thread.

Lol. I don't understand those that didn't get your comment.

        • @mrau: Thanks for the support. :)

  • Red Multi-sport sold out, Pink still available https://www.jbhifi.com.au/tomtom/tomtom-multi-sport-gps-watc…

  • Does it come with a free lunch box?

  • This model is going back quite a bit - was first model update after the original launch version. There were two generations that followed.

Definitely go for the multi-sport version if you also swim etc. But, at $68 for the Runner it's definitely worth it - great price.

I've got the 'Spark cardio plus music' and find it to be a great watch for sports (but not really suitable as a day to day watch due to the size and styling - and therefore activity tracking pretty much useless).

Note: I don't think either model linked above has activity tracking (step counting etc) though.

I have the standard Multisport model from this generation, and use it for GPS tracking of both cycling and running.

Super-happy with it. Confortable to wear while exercising. The GPS has been extremely accurate and quick to acquire satellites. Have also used the intervals feature for running, and its very easy to set-up and use.

Uploads all via Bluetooth on my phone, and syncs to my Strava account seamlessly.

At the cheaper end of the spectrum, this is head-&-shoulders the best bang for buck GPS watch you can get… :-)

  • bought one thanks!

  • Does it work with strava?

    • Need to set it up through the tomtom website, then uploads direct from the app on your phone.

@squashy Yes. I have this watch.

I have two sports watches, this and a Sony smartwatch. The Sony has a silicone band and doesn't smell no matter how sweaty I get. The Tomtom, after a few days of use will smell. And it'll smell shortly after each time you wear it. I think because of the plastic band. Also, I went through 3 bands as they all had design flaws. Tomtom sent replacements out for free so don't buy new ones

I have the spark cardio music

  • How does this compare to the much more expensive Garmin Forerunner 35?

  • How does it compare to Amazfit Bip. Similar price.

  • If anyone is interested, this and the multisport for $78 have been appearing and disappearing on JB's website for a couple of days now. So if it looks like they sold out, try again in a few hours.

These are refurbished. Pretty slack from JB not to make it clear when advertising if you ask me.

Received mine with history still on the device from a while ago. Took it back to the store (as advised by the online team) hoping to replace. Obviously it's old stock and they didn't have any in stock.

He noticed the online stock was still showing a number of them so he spoke to them explaining I was concerned I would receive another watch that was pressed. They advised him all of them are refurbished.

Online team then conformed that in an email to me stating that factory scoops are all generally refurbished products…

Pretty slack unless I missed that in fact it was stated as a refurbished product but also worth noting for future "factory scoops"

    • Mine was brand new, the factory scoop products that are refurbished clearly state so. Have bought several Factory Scoop products and they were all brand new. I would get a refund if I was you as they are clearly telling porkies.

Edit: Example of a refurbished 'Factory Scoop' product https://www.jbhifi.com.au/computers-tablets/desktops/acer/ac…

    • I reckon you scored a display model or, more likely, a return. Is the device history proper length runs, or short tests?

      • Made an assumption :O (blasphemy) I was informed in-store they were refurbs and then the same was confirmed by the online team. There's an email thread longer than my arm going back and forth with me trying to enquire as to why if these were in fact refurbs why it wasn't advertised like the link adr8 posted two posts above.

After a number of emails they have since retracted that they were refurbs and explained the person the in-store rep spoke to and the person that emailed me confirming this was misinformed. As people have suggested above this particular watch slipped through the gaps. I'm awaiting confirmation if I can acquire another one.

        • Hi, I also received a refurbished watch purchased from a more recent post.
          I emailed jb-Hifi and i’m awaiting a reply.
Can you please advise what the outcome of your matter was?

        • +1

@Bargainaholic: The whole thing has been a farce, the good news is I received a refund.

They then asked me if I would be interested in the item if they could supply me with a brand new one and ensure it wasn't refurbished, at the advertised price. I said yes.

JB said they would send through a payment request etc, they followed up confirming I was still interested and said I would receive an email shortly but nothing came of it (around 2 weeks ago).

        • @farfromparadise:

lol I received my watch 2nd today (mens - green band ) and it had an identical history on the watch as with the 1st watch (womens - pink band)

I think it is a generic history to show capabilities

  • It's so unprofessional of JB Hifi to send refurnished item as new! I am waiting for mine to arrive.

  • I got mine and it was brand new. I don't believe that store manager who seemed to indicate all these were refurb.

  • Is this gone or are they waiting to restock? I was procrastinating and now it's not available

    • Back in stock, last one left

  • Priced now dropped to $58
