Great price - probably the best ever! With the exception of those who managed to get one with the good guyd 50% staff offers (suspect not too many were honored)

    • How is this appliance better than the Kenwood KMX754 deal https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/368451 ?

      • KitchenAid series has been around for a long time (30 yrs +) while Kmix range is pretty new (maybe 3yrs+). People tend to either stick with Kenwood or KitchenAid.
Kmix mixer used to be sold for $600, now it's on sale for $300 or less, so I reckon the demand is less.

It’s all about the attachments! Juicer, mincer and sausage stuffer, food processor, ice cream bowl, spirialiser, pasta press, ravioli maker, etc.

Personally as a male who does his fair share of cooking, absolutely nothing, but why is the iphone x better than an S9 .. why do I need to buy tiffanys when I can get a much larger rock for half the price elsewhere … marketing / branding / perception …

      • The Kenwood was developed in Britain: https://youtu.be/WO1ebXqUFDw?t=41s

      • not much … except you pay for the pretty colors

      • with some slight variations on motor, the accessories and bowl fittings have been the same for a long time (20+ years), not sure about the kenwood.

  • Can I ask what is the difference between the three models?
    Thanks!

don't confuse with the classic, classic and artisan have different motors, accessories are the same fittings but come as different bundles also.

        • Oh which one is better ? Artisan or classic ?

  • Awesome deal, was after the 170 as I wanted a particular colour only available on that model but couldn't justify the difference in price previously. I've checked the T&Cs at KitchenAid for the attachment deal and I can't see any reason why it wouldn't be honoured (but I'm sure I'll stand corrected in a few days).

However, I had to pay $9.90 for delivery (it wasn't free so the KSM170 comes in at $529.10 delivered).

  • Just bought the KSM160 from this deal (thanks OP!).

Is there any major difference I'm missing for not getting the KSM170 other than the glass bowl and lamer colours?

    • same 300w motors, just colours and bowls vary.
