Isn't Skype free? Unless you use business conferencing…
You need to pay to call phone numbers, it's only free to Skype accounts.
Also this is essentially 50% off Office 365 Personal as explained Here
Got it. Thanks
Is this effectively the cheapest way to get Office 365 personal? $56.10 AUD for 12 months Skype subscription Here…
And I could use these 50% off skype credit to get this at $28.05 AUD, or $26.65 AUD if I combine it with 5% off Wish gift cards from cash rewards?
*Note that this Skype subscription says the following: "Any Office 365 Personal offers apply to new Office subscribers only."Ohh I didn't know about the New Office users thing :( I guess you could just make a new account and transfer the files from your other account.
But yes I think that would be $28.05 then :)
Can you use your Skype credit to pay for the plan?
@nightelves: I am going to contact them and find out. I will post back with results… unless someone else does it first? Because I don't have time right now :P
@nightelves: This website here says you can use skype credit to pay for a skype subscription :)
Awesome! Thanks heaps.
My understanding is that Skype on Android no longer does SMS to mobiles - anyone disagree? (It's the only reason I'd want it.)
Sent one from my phone last week and it was received just fine.
OK. Thanks. Just tried and it works.
To those who buy this, don't forget to activate before the Skype cards expire within a year - especially as you may not have written the expiry date yourself on the back of the card if you purchased it using self-service.
Skype credit once active on your account never 'expires' but can sometimes go inactive if unused (you just need to use your account and it'll reactivate/extend the period).
Great reminder to people here. I will never forget after I had a $25 Skype card expire on me.
That ruined my Ozbargain spirit for days lol.
I read it is easy to activate once loade don skype - just make a call or sms. not sure how long it stays active? Im struggling to find how much each of my calls and durations cost, they all seem to say the same $0.11 or something yet i coudln't tie back up to how much credit of my $25 i used.
This was a great way to make international calls while i was in japan… made it so much easier to call landlines in australia like i was still here. no worries about all the international stuff. probably use it if i call overseas again next time haha.
It's probably been asked before, but can I buy these (as well as other gift cards - Freedom?) using Wish eGift Cards?
Answered my own question here.
Can I redeem multiple of these for the one account?
Yes
Was looking for this since long time. Thanks
Hi All,
I contacted skype and they said that:
1) There is no maximum skype credit limit if you recharge your skype credit with the voucher; and
2) There is a limit if you recharge using their website or credit card for protection.other than the obvious skype facilities and MS office, any other reason to buy these cards?
If you aren't buying it to use Skype, I fail to see why you would buy this at all.
reselling them for a profit.
Thanks OP, just grab two at Macquarie centre, but half price only applies to $10 card and there are heaps at Macquarie. I use the credit to pay off my subscription, such a great deal. thanks again.
Not true, the offer applies to all Skype gift cards

Can you buy new subscriptions with credit form these cards? I am new to skype - but very interested in using it and getting Office 365 personal included for free.
Nevermind, answered my own question… Yes, you can use skype credit to purchase a skype subscription. reference here
I purchased some of these a few hours ago but it's saying voucher not found when I try to redeem them.
Receipt from Woolworths says it could take up to 24 hours to activate, does it really take that long? All good, worked it out. Had to enter the code without the hyphens.
