Cheapest ever price for this monitor. Pairs nicely with the recent deals on Inspiron / XPS / R7 systems.

Strengths include 144hz and 1ms response, which is ideal for FPS gaming. 2560x1440 resolution and gsync.

Weaknesses include viewing angles as it is a TN panel.

Is also possibly the latest A09 revision (ie. https://www.reddit.com/r/Monitors/comments/86gtr8/dell_s2716…).

    It's not like you're going to view it on at 180 degrees, TN panel weakness is colour production compared to other panels such as IPS and VA.

    Don't let the fact that it's a TN panel throw you off, This is an exceptional monitor. I would pick up a second if my wife didn't check my spendings.

      Exactly i use it purely for gaming the colour and quality of this panel is amazing ive had mine for over a year and its been great purchased it for $799 from an ebay deal arrived 4 days later. Need to use a display port to get the most out of it and also turn off the "deep sleep" as sometimes it wont wake after windows turns off the monitor for powersaving. Height adjustable is handly and also had usb 3.0 ports on the side which is cool backed by a 3yr next business day onsite which is very cool.

        I'm using 3 TN mointors and I have to put the monitors on stupid extreme angles for it to be even noticeable while gaming.

    Lol I love how they used ARK as an example, I don't think even God himself could run Ark at 1440p 144fps.

    If you don't like TN you can buy Ultrasharp 4K IPS version for an extra $80. Won't have 144hz or 1ms though.

    TN has differing levels of quality. There are good TN panels and bad ones. It seems their Inspiron laptops these days come with the bad TN panels.
