Op , its a good find in terms of price, but….

I love Bose products but more so tech gadgets in general…owned and tested quite a few of similar products.
Purchased one last year when it was on specials for $250 in Microsoft store.

    NOT WORTH it !!

Seriously dont bother spending your money on this..good quality but does not really make $300 worth or $200 worth difference from your TV volume or sound quality.

Better of buying a Samsung basic soundbar and wireless rear speakers all for under $300 and you will get a heaps better setup.

    • Was just about to say this. I love bose but disappointed with solo 5.

    • Thanks for the review. Very helpful. I think I will give this a miss.

    • Thanks, we need more honest comments like yours on Ozbargain.
Often people here follow the crowd mentality in search for + votes.

Samsung HWM360 is good. Usually goes for $150ish…pair with $100-$150 Rear wireless speakers . You will love it.
Else stick to any of these Yamaha or Samsung, you wont miss a thing compared to Bose Solo 5

      • Thanks mate, also just spotted this

        https://m.ebay.com.au/itm/Yamaha-YAS207-200w-Soundbar/332318…

Which comes to $397 after 20% off… Very tempting, extra $150 though 🤔

        • Good, but still i will stick to soundbar + wireless rears for under $300 as i have them and a soundbar alone cannot beat that setup for that price ..

        • There are reports that the 107 + own subwoofer > 207. I havent heard either so cant comment from a personal experience.

        • $45 postage though. So ~450 delivered.

i've got an older bose solo and it was let down by the lack of bass

    • Same here…..

  • I purchased this to replace my crappy Logitech speakers I have plugged into the tv.

The difference between this sound bar and them was basically non existent.

I returned it and plugged back in my Logitech.

    • Some THX Logitech speakers are pretty good.

      • mine isn't even the THX ones, just two little ones and the sub.

I would say the THX ones are definitely better than the bose solo 5

  • Whats 'SB User'?

  • I was keen on this bar with last year’s Microsoft offer, but missed out. After demoing it in store, I'm glad I missed out - no bass at all. Much better off buying a ~$300 sony/Samsung/JBL soundbar with Bluetooth and a subwoofer for a budget sound system.

  • It has no sub its built in so of course its going to lack bass, the samsung has a dedicated subwoofer. With bose you are paying for the name!
