PlayStation Deal

Steam/PC Link or use this method by thelute, if you already have ep 1.

IO Interactive has announced that the Hitman Spring Pack is now available, enabling you to download and permanently keep the game's Sapienza level (arguably the best one) for free. The Spring Pack includes the entire Sapienza location, enabling you to explore the sunny climes of the idyllic Amalfi coast town.

The second episode in Hitman's first season, Sapienza includes all manner of secrets, contracts and awesome assassination opportunities, including the re-activation of 'The Guru' as an Elusive Target from 23rd March for ten days. You'll only get one shot at him, so make it count.

You can grab the Hitman Spring Pack now for free until 3rd April 2018 on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC. Once you download the level, it's yours to keep forever and ever.

If you already have episode 1 from another freebie, it wont place episode 2 in your library. Someone on reddit said "I used steam://install/439890 to add it to my game library. I already had the first episode from when they gifted it." - This works

        • @thelute:

          Where do you type this?

        • @thelute:

So how exactly do you do that? How do I put episode 2 in the library?

          @patrioticpickle:
          @AceIsMe:

Sorry been busy all day. I believe I pasted it in the browser URL, and it asked if I wanted to open it in Steam application.

          Direct steam webpage is http://store.steampowered.com/app/439890/HITMAN_Episode_2__S…

        • @thelute:
Doesn't work for me. I can't add it to the library. It doesn't give me that option.

        • @AceIsMe:

OK. I got it to download now. It turns out that it was already added to the library but not installed. To be able to install it I had to untick the "Installed HITMAN Episode 1" item under DLC and then it started downloading Episode 2 (Sapienza). Now I need to wait to download 5.9GB on my fast 11Mbit NBN connection…..lol

        • @AceIsMe: Following comments about Steam above, is there any issue adding Ep 2 on Xbox if you've already got Ep 1 from the last giveaway/freebie?

I've got Ep1 but haven't gotten around to installing/playing it yet.

        • @thelute: On a Mac paste it into Safari. Already had episode 1 and it worked fine to add episode 2.

Do you need the base game?

  • How many gigs to DL it?

    • +1

You just have to laugh out loud while looking at your face on the Driving Licence. :P

      • made me gig a little

    • Downloading on PC now. Says 12.1gb Though that may also include episode 1. Since I don't have that installed.

  • Nice post OP.. I was about to post this yesterday but stopped coz was thinking it may be dupe of this - https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/367930 ;-)

  • Thanks OP, I haven't finished Episode One yet but may as well add it to the ever-growing backlog of games.

  • Very nice level. Shame it runs like crap on PC (with Nvidia, at least).

Direct link for PS4 users is here: https://store.playstation.com/en-au/product/EP0082-CUSA02369…

It's linked in via another post by Being Askhole to be fair, but wanted to save some people a click.

Alternatively PS4 users can use the app on their phone and get it downloading ready for play by the time they're home from work. PSN speeds have been pretty decent lately (pulled down 90gb overnight when I added some new titles).

      • How well does that work? I've never tried it before myself.. I would have thought navigation of the screens would be an absolute pain if generally browsing. Maybe if searching directly it's not so bad?

        • The app is great. It really puts the ps4 version of the store browser to shame.

      • I remember the Steam app having this functionality too. Then they took it away? I'm not 100% sure on that.

        • It's not supported in the app but you can do it from the web. You just need to make sure the client is running on your PC.

I would have thought it would be a priority to have that in the app.

        • @Trickey: I remember doing it on the app before, but this was a few years back. It was definitely there. Then I recall they took it off the app for some reason.

Use this line on Windows Explorer, it will add the DLC 2 on Steam
    steam://install/439890

    it worked for me

  • Episode 1 still free?

    • Nup. That was back in Jan

      • Bugga, cheers

      • Ep 1 worth playing, or just jump straight into Ep2, which sounds like it may be better?

        • +1

they're self-contained scenarios so it doesn't matter which scenario you play first.
