Where can i find a good bargin one?
you have to look around, i bought mine at OW, for under $200(RRP $250), mine is the MP640. Look at several stores for your ideal printer and try to get a pricematch if possible, also the ink may be expensive, so i wait till ink is also on special, i bought like 10 packets of ink when harvey norman had an ink special where you buy 2 for the price of 1, so you just have to look at stores when they are on special, and also due to the fact that school is coming back up, stores may also have this on special as a "Back-to-school" item
If you want to print PHOTOS, then forget inkjets… get a Dye-sublimation printer.

That allows you to print proper photos, just like you get at the local Kmart image print centre.
The cost is about 40c per pic. Cartridge and paper comes together as a "set". Quality is… absolutely awesome
Canon Sephy or "CP…" series
Kodak EaswyShare (often only for Kodak cameras, as they act as a dock)
I have a Samsung SPP-2040
I also need a photo printer for a 4x6 print. Any other suggestions?
for quality i WOULD go with the Dye-sublimation but as mentioned by llama, it cost around 40cents per print, where it would cost at most 20cents(5cents least) per print at the photo printing centres.
For cheap prints get what i mentioned(inkjet) they are cheaper(approx 30cents) per print than the dye-sublimation, again more expensive than the photo centres

I ended up getting a Canon Sephy 800, got it for cost price from a mate at Harvey Norman. $110 including the ink and paper pack. Its really good for 4x6 prints, quality is very good.
Many printers will do that these days, they just have to have the funtions of "Memory Card Reader" and "Photo-Printing"
i have CANON PIXMA, and it does that..http://canon.com.au/en-AU/For-You/Printers/PIXMA-InkJet-Printers
