Gas and Electricity for Single Person [NSW]

Hi guys,

Just wanted to know which is the best electricity / gas company to go with for a unit with 1 person living in it ? Recently bought a unit - not sure of what I should be looking for in terms of electricity / gas

• Taking into account that I'm hardly at home
• Spending weekend at parents place
• I also work peak hours of the day so will spend between 11-3pm at home most days.

Any information would be useful, thanks!

  1, 2, 3 or 5 people. It doesn't really matter to them. Its all just usage.

  So look around and get the one with the lowest daily service charge and usage rates.

  i also work peak periods of the day so will spend between 11-3pm at home most days.

  Peak period for power falls in the 11-3pm range ;)

  Your best bet is to find the one with the cheapest daily supply charge.

  Since you own the place, and you're the only person living in it, being hardly at home, the best thing is get rid of gas, gas only makes sense if you have a super large family, and do lots of cooking. Otherwise you're effectively paying double for the daily service charges for both electricity and gas

  Don't get sucked in by the % discount that the media are trying to sell you. Read the usage & service charges and then see the best ‰ you can get.
