      Hi, yes this absinthe is made just as it was in the 1800's when it was most popular, using Wormwood (Artemisia absinthium and Artemisia pontica).

      Note, that the "old school hallucinate out of your mind" was probably due to the way wormwood was treated using lead. So people often got lead poisoning from absinthe and attributed it to the thujone in the wormwood.

        Yeah having read up on it a bit more apparently even the best absinthe in the world should not make you hallucinate due to the thujone just not being potent enough. And given if its too potent it can kill you, thank goodness for that. Where's some lsd when you want it?..
