The Domino's Oven Baked Sandwich Is Fantastic

Tried the $5.95 chicken, bacon and avocado sandwich. Absolutely fantastic. Most toasted sandwiches that I have tried have bread that is hard and dry. The dominos one is really soft, and the chicken/bacon practically melts in your mouth with the creamy avocada. Its literally the best sandwich I have eaten in the last 3 years.

Its a pity the $5.95 is promo pricing and will probably end at some point. Not worth the regular $8.95 IMHO, especially when you can get a $7.95 pizza that will last for two meals.

    Better than a toasted subway or self made at home in the oven? Because honestly that is what we are dealing with here looking for tastiest or best bang for buck kinda stuff and the domino's do does intrigue me.. especially since I kind of get sick of domino's after some time.

      Way better than subway. Subway sandwiches are only toasted for like 30 seconds.

      They are very unhealthy, contains 44.5 grams of fat, also has 1860 mg of sodium which is really 5 grams of salt. This food will kill you quick, the cholesterol, high fat and salt is atherogenic, the rise in blood pressure could cause an artery to explode. Go back to Subway for toasted sandwiches, ie the veggie delight without cheese and no or low fat dressing like BBQ or Ketchup sauce. All other ones at subway are unhealthy.

          Fat consumption is the major cause of Obesity, Heart disease, dementia, cancer…….the list goes on. You have to greatly reduce it in your diet, frankly these meals are completely out of the question even as a treat once per year, you simply can not do it if you are responsible. I have made it known I believe that junk food specials should be removed from ozbargain, even if they were free they are not a bargain compared to the health costs you will incur, YOU are encouraging people to eat unhealthy. A ​Coronary Artery Grafts-Bypass surgery ​is $38,100 according the government website.

          @freemoneyhunter: Look up the keto diet. Fat is not necessarily bad. The mediterrean diet is high in certain fats as well and it actually lowers the risk of heart disease.

    Strongly disagree, my local one was awful. Bread was burnt black, it was a mess. I was so looking forward to it as well.

          I had a shitty experience before and complained to their twitter account when the store refused to fix it. They were quite rude too. The next time I went, the store was all smiles and were more than happy to fix things for me.

          Im guessing someoone higher up like an area manager told them to fix it.

        I bought a lava cake once, and when I got home and opened the box it was just a melted goop and it leaked all over my stuff. Wasn't happy and complained, but they told me to phone the store directly instead. Rather them not put any extras into my food so just left it.

          Yeah, that's my concern with raising any issue with them.
          That's why many of us would prefer going higher than the store.

    It was a good sandwich. But i think i can make one better on my refrigerated sandwhich bars Brisbane.
