Their "sale" prices are nothing abut a rip-off aimed squarely at the mug punter who thinks they are getting bargain.
Philips Viva Pasta maker is a pretty good deal at this price, it has been cheaper.

Call me daft, but if this is the 16th March, what does the Japan end of financial year on the 31st March have to do with it?
They have so much stock left over from these 'sales' it takes 2 weeks to count it.
Mind you, there will be more sales before the Japan EOFY.
Every sale HN has had that's been touted as an amazing sale or something similar has had nothing I've wanted but occasionally in their defence they will provide a decent price on certain items, but it's usually select things and they tend to nick-nacky.
Just had a look at this and it's no different to all the other sales really.
They do these same discounts multiple times per year because of their inflated RRP's.
