Fitbit Surge (Black, Small in-Store Only) $100.00 @ OfficeWorks

140

Pros and cons from online reviews.
The Surge includes most of the features you’ll find on Fitbit’s other trackers, including all-day activity and sleep tracking, automatic exercise tracking, smartphone notifications, and up to seven-day battery life. But the real addition, which will make it appeal to more hardened runners and cyclists, is GPS.

Pros: The Fitbit Surge has an always-on display, all-day fitness and heart-rate tracking, and GPS to track a variety of activities. Fitbit's software is still one of our and has the largest social base.
Cons: The design feels old and clunky. It can't be worn while swimming or when in the shower. The heart rate data isn't accurate and notifications are limited to text messages and calls.

How does this compare to the Xiaomi Huami Amazfit Bip?

    • Just got one of the Bips, it’s amazing, full test and notifications from
iOS, great battery life, totally worth the $60 I spent.

      • Haha awesome! I just bought the Bip a day ago, can't wait to try it out! Paid $69.

    Good price.
Get large replacement band from eBay around $10.

I've had this one for couple years, it's got great battery life for a "smart" watch, and regarding the comment on limited notification ability, this app https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.abhijitval… works pretty well to fix that.
A con for me though, and is why I had to get a replacement is that sleeping with it on (to get sleep tracking stuff) broke the one piece band after a while, as I probably ended up rolling on it occasionally. Not a problem for other models because you can replace the band, can't with this one.

  • All stores around Sydney's CBD do not have stock :-(

What a shame, I wanted one.

  • guess this is run out as the new fitbits released

  • Saw a couple of these still available at OW in Osborne Park (WA).

  • They had two at Highpoint Vic. (homemaker centre today).
I (we) decided to Not get one due to the no shower/swimming with it recommendation even though it is approved to be (?).
