140

Not a bad price for what seems to be a decent chair.

Kmart has a real cheap, possible crap one for $5.

Bunnings has a $5 crap one too. I bought two. One armrest broke upon 2nd use. The frame under the seat forces your legs together, and frame behind the seatback pinches your shoulders. I'm tall but very slim… The $5 crap chairs are perfect for young teenagers, I guess.

    • Can verify the crap-ness..

    • The arm frames wore a hole in the fabric really quickly on mine

    • Crappiness confirmed!

    • Bona-fide crappiness.

      Guaranteed!

I get made fun of with my $5 Kmart chair, upgrading to this will alleviate the issue

  • OP's link is broken and I can't find the "Escape" model on the Oztrail website.

    There is this one though:

    Perhaps same specs?

Is it? Working for me… Hmmm

      • taking me straight to:

        https://www.bunnings.com.au/our-range

Maybe store/state specific, where you located?

        • Could be, I'm in Victoria.

        • I'm ACT, maybe not applicable here?

          Can anyone else quickly comment/confirm?

        • @UFO:

Same issue here. Fyshwick as a location.

Have found the $5 Kmart chairs to be more than sufficient. Why would I pay 350% more. BTW I am not obese.

    • I'm obese ;), and the weight limit of the Kmart chairs are typically far less than better quality brands. Plus the 130kg weight limit doesn't just determine the user weight btw, but also the general durability of the chair. Leaning or bending on a lower weight limit chair has more chance of it breaking.

If your obese you don't need to buy anything long term anyway.

        • +2

You don't have to be very overweight to be medically obese.
The scale goes -skinny -you're fine
          -fat bastard

To the snowflake that negged my above comment, how about grow a set and explain why?
Votes shouldn't be anonymous. Should be similar to Whirlpool, where users can judge your "aura" based on how you comment and vote.

        • +2

I couldn't agree more, I hate the anonymous negs. I can't see any reason why your comment was negged.

        • -2

I negged you. You are what you eat

        • You know that the BMI index used on its own is a flawed measurement of health right?
I'm classed as "obese" on that scale, and I'd safely bet I have more muscle mass than you.

And re-read the rules on neg voting. Educate yourself, if only to portray a higher level of intelligence than you possess.

          @UFO:
No. I possess a lot of muscle. I can see it bulging under my skin. Its not hidden under layers of fat.

    • Homunculus …. is that you?
