I am guessing this deal will be useful if you plan to change only 1 - 2 tires?

    If you are going to change 3 - 4, wouldn't Buy-3-get-1-free a better deal (25% off) ?

    • Sometimes the deal runs concurrently (for example tyresales might also offer buy 3 get 1 free if its the tyre company that's doing the promo)

    • On tyresales, not all tyres are up for this promotion. But if you happen to find the right tyres for this, then yes definitely that would a better deal.

    • In most cases, buy 3 get 1 free deals are bloody bogus. I'm currently in contact with a rep regarding a franchise of his company quoting me one price, then upon finding out I wanted to use the promo, telling me another price. To buy the 4 tyres without the promo would only be $26 dearer than by getting 4th free. Doesn't work out free at all. Considering they get a credit on what they pay for the tyre, not what the customer pays. Just being greedy and deceitful. Rep requested I make the complaint. 2nd time this has happened with a buy 3 get 1 free deal.

I've been scouting around for some tyres lately for 3 cars (not all mine) so let you folks know if the deals are legit or if there is sufficient coverage.

  • any recommendation for VW golf MK7 205/55/R16? thanks in advance, comfort and quietness is my first priority.

I am looking at the same size and toyo cf2 is currently my pick of the bunch. It's currently $107 each with $50 off for 4. But 20% would be better. There are more quiet and more comfortable tyres out there, but you sacrifice grip.

      • Was looking for some new tyres as well and stumbled across your recommendation Calvin27 - thanks!

Ordered a set of 4 x Toyo Proxes CF2 for $344 ($86 each) and managed to find a 'Premium Fitment Centre' near me that'll throw in a free wheel alignment (saved another $80)!

        • +1

Great I better get onto it since there are 4 less now!

*Edit there are now 8 less lol. $350 a set is pretty good value.

        • you call Premium Fitment Centre and ask them if they can do free wheel alignment?

        • +2

@lisum33: No need, as not all of the places will offer it. You'll see it when you choose where you want the tyres to be delivered for fitting.

Here is an screenshot I took

You'll notice that some places don't offer any free 'extras' while some offer a car clean or wheel alignment. Once you've selected a place to have your tyres fitted, any extras they offer are included for free.

The fitment place I chose was about 10-15 minutes further away from the closest one to me but the free wheel alignment was too good to pass up.

          @Chimpus: thanks, save me $80

        • +1

@Chimpus: Thank you for sharing this. Only one of the places in my area offered a free wheel alignment, and I would have missed it but because I read your comment I was looking for it. You saved me $80 :)

  • Try to find sumitomo htrz3 if you are after good value performance tyres. Used to have the htrz2 a few years ago and loved them. App $50-100 cheaper than other premium goodies.

Had sp sport 9000, sp sport maxx, contisport3, s001, eagle f1 previously. Still prefer htrz2/3 if i can still find them.

  • This site really needs a new designer…

Their thumbnails are of the rims at 10-30 degrees, we can barely see the design at all.

To make it worse, half of them are covered by obnoxious 'OUR PICK' and 'ON SALE' stickers…

  • Any recommendations for Subaru Outback 225/60/R18? Thanks

  • Do they install it free of cost ? Or it’s just a door delivery?

    • It's on the right hand side of the page of tyre you choose

Fitment in VIC est. 4 days Included

      • Thanks mate. Price matched with K Tyres! Dunlop LM 704 195 65 R15 for as little as $96 ea including fitting, balancing, disposal of old tyres. Cheers.

    Great timing. Needed one tyre

  • BRIDGESTONE POTENZA ADRENALIN RE003 225/45R18 for $258 ? I got them for $200 each at Bob Jane + amex cashback

    • the bridgestone stuff is better with a 4 for 3 deal imo.

    • What is this amex cashback? Bob Jane quoted me $279 each for these :(

  • Got my Kuhmo tyres for $142 each fitted, everywhere else they are $200ish. Plus free alignment at the place I picked for fitting. Bargain!

  • I will have to change my tyres in next 4-6 months. Not sure if i should wait or do it now. I see some good deals. Got a quote for Potenza RE050A for 304$ each from local Bridgestone dealer for 205/50/R17.
Whereas Tyresales has it form 257.

Also I see 225/45/R17 are a lot cheaper but not sure if my rim will fit it. Anyone knows ? Btw mine are Run flat tyre.

    • Don't think that would be legal. Definitely not in NSW.
If you want to check if it will fit, you have to know what the width of your rim is. Then check Bridgestone RE050 specs and it will say what widths the tyre can be fitted to. Also depends on your car as going 20mm wider could cause rubbing on guards at full lock or when suspension compressed over bumps.

    • 225/45 have a different rolling diameter. Use one of those tyre size calculator thingy and work out how far off your speedo will be.

    Great deal.
Got 4 x Toyo Proxes CF2 plus fitting, balancing and alignment for $456.
    Thanks for posting zenith2k3 :)

Website is garbage, I went through the size selector, picked my make, model, year etc and it gave me the completely wrong size. I stupidly ordered based on their choice assuming it was right, now I have to screw around and get them to fix the order, ugh.

(yes, I know, I should have confirmed tyre size before placing the order, duh)

Just wanted to give some feedback.

Ordered on Friday last week and the tyres arrived at my Fitment centre today (Monday). 4 x Toyo Proxes CF2 were installed this afternoon and are a huge improvement over my old tyres.

Very happy with the delivery times and price I paid. Thank you for sharing this great deal Zenith2k3!

    • Ditto!
(…and saved ~$200 on a quote from elsewhere)
