Hi all,

I am looking at replacing my timing belt and water pump for my Hyundai Getz 1.4L 2010.

Can anyone recommend somewhere that I can get this done by an experienced mechanic at a reasonable price in Sydney.

(Unfortunately, I don't have enough experience to attempt the job myself)

In the service business, cheapest isn't always the best.

Go to a few mechanics in your local area and have a chat to them. Price should only be one factor in your decision.

How much is the car worth? If it isn’t playing up it might be cheaper to drive it until it fails and get a new car. Last time I priced a timing belt change it was like $1500.

  The Hyundai Getz timing belt replacement is pretty straight forward. It's not as labour intensive as say a European car.
