Can anyone recommend a good option?
Travelling to China for 10 days, Go-Sim has 5Gb for $50 including sim cost, though I can only find one review about their performance in China, which said the speed were very slow. Anyone used them?

I concur with geek001. Don't waste money getting an overpriced travel sim in Australia. Land in China, and in the airport they sell cheap local sims for probably 20 aussie dollars for 10 days.
Will I have any problems activating the sim without understanding the Chinese instructions though?
No you won't, and you don't need instructions anyways. All you have to do is insert the sim into your phone and you'll pick up a signal and can surf the net as soon as you turn on your phone. Ez pz.
And sign up for a 7 day free trial to expressvpn so you can access blocked sites. And right before that expires, sign up to a free trial of betternet to last till your 10th day when you leave.
Excellent. Thank you!
Do note. If you buy a chinese sim card, all Google, FB, Twitter, Instagram, Whatsapp services will be blocked. If you use a non-chinese sim (one that you bought outside of china), there is no restriction. Weigh the pros and cons before deciding.
Also you should use a spare phone not your main one, since it will get full of spyware and malware when used in China.
Well I’m in China and they’re telling me I need a Chinese ID to get a SIM card 😒
Getting a SIM card in China is a lot of hassles if you don't speak Chinese.
You can still buy a SIM card if you go to a "headquarter" shop. They accept foreign passports there.
No one mentioned that a month ago when I asked 😂
If you are passing through Singapore, you can get one of these. https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/316426
Otherwise just get a local sim when you land. It will be cheaper than Aud50.
