Not dead, they are the market leader in terms of sales, but the growth is stalling. Probably price point and mixed content. I own one and used it very regularly in the first month, but there isn't enough engaging content I find or maybe I still have a preference for non-VR games that have more in-depth gameplay and better visuals. Having said that, whenever I have someone over and I get them to have a go at it, they are simply amazed by it. I don't regret buying it.
I saw a review on youtube that mentioned the PSVR was blurry, but you "get used to it." That statement made me want to wait for a vive 2.0
Sounds more like they have eye issues. Definitely not blurry but the resolution is only half 1080p. You have to try it to know it yourself.
