You heard it first from Buyii. Groupon has finally launched a branch in Australia under the banner Stardeals.com.au. Why they are not using their recently acquired groupon.com.au domain name is a mystery to me.
Do they have what it takes to catchup with the established local players?

But because an existing Australian deals company has had its application to use the Groupon name in Australia approved, the Chicago company has been forced to use the domain name of Stardeals in Australia.
We all know who that "existing Australian deals company" is, and personally I think this kind of dealing is a bit underhanded.
Nope, don't like the name at all, it's super cheesy. Don't really care though, as long as the deals are good (less hair and makeup, more food and golf) ;)
