Surely this shouldn't be hard and would be great for most users of the site. Stop seeing [WA] when you're in [NSW], etc.
Why no 'sort by targetted state'?

Filter deals listing. Not sure why it's not already possible.
Yep defs would be a useful feature to filter these deals out
I love it when there is a WA or TAS only deal. Makes me feel inclusive and warm and fuzzy.

It's not available at the moment. We (OzBargain staffs) did discuss about it at the meeting yesterday and we might work on some solutions in the coming year.
It would be quite easy to do. Like 1 weeks work tops.
I guess OzBargain is a good example of "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" though.
It is already in competitions, but I'm not sure if they want to implement it the same way in deals.

Spoken like someone that has no idea of the updates the site gets regularly…
Yes. This site isn't updated regularly.
But you could miss out on some deals incorrectly labelled for a specific state.
If they label something [NSW] then I should miss out on it. If it's not for NSW, people will soon realise.
People from that state may not relise as they probably don't care about other states, same as the people who would be filtering out other states deals
Not everyone will be filtering by state. As there is always a trade-off when doing so and the people that actually care about missing 5% in spite of getting rid of the other 95% useless material, then they won't enable the option regardless.
If it becomes a problem, (which it won't), then adding the ability to tag things as QLD, Brisbane, Sydney or Blackstown will be fine.
But but…Im happy to know what deals my peeps in Vic are getting!
because this website is trash. just a way to advertise and get kickbacks.
glad you're a member, and getting some bargains along the way.
Thank you for your contribution.
