I used to get everyday giftcards (via cashrewards) and they'd be emailed to me quite quickly… sometimes even on the same day. Now - for some unspecified reason - they tell me it will take 48 hours!!!

edit: maybe you saw the generic message in the email?
Your order is being processed and will be distributed shortly.
Please allow up to 48 hours for delivery of eGift Cards.paypal email?
Don't think it takes Paypal.
Typoed should’ve been payment email
Mine is still same day but closer to 4-5hrs whereas it used to be ~2hrs
I ordered one yesterday via Entertainment Book and it took 3 hours. I did have a problem downloading the card as there appeared to be a problem with the website. It was okay an hour later.
they tell me it will take 48 hours!!!
So did it actually take more than a few hours for you or are you just worried about the standard disclaimer?
Has taken more than 48 hours on a few occassions for me, especially if you are changing payment methods. Usually 2-5 hours though
Yeh it's annoying. Mine are coming the next day
I ordered one last month and it came in a few hours. Had to key in a code from a text message to confirm it was me placing the order. Before the code confirmation system my orders would usually get the payment pending hold up.
i noticed the mobile confirmation. pita. the captchas also very annoying, especially when trying to check your balance. they never seem to work the first time.
also whenever i try to buy a woolworths gift card using my orange everyday account it gets flagged as a high risk transaction and gets locked. then i have to waste my time and money calling ing direct to get it unlocked. now i just use my macquarie bank card without hassle.
Had the same problem. I rang them multiple times, and demanded the fraud team fix the issue. They rung up and said it was now ok, tried again and it failed.
I have cut ties with Ing, they are the worst bank now.
I also told them I was in USA, and literally 6 hours later chewed my card, and they sent a SMs which was next to useless given I had taken my sim out. Ing sucks imho
Does everyone know to put them in the money app.
I just buy them weekly and put them in well in adavance.
i've avoided the money app, for no valid reason, how do you find it, is it good?
Very good
in the least it will stop automatically opening the app store every time I click the link for a giftcard!
Mine take 48-72 hrs unless I email asking where it is, which I do now after 24 hrs.
I can't get the mobile verification to function in Safari on the phone or Firefox on the laptop, I emailed them thinking they might want to know. They were rude as and told me I was lying and I should just use another browser.Mine has always taken 3-4 hours. One time it took more than 24 hours bought through Cashrewards so I avoid buying through them these days.
Only takes a few hours for me. I use my Coles MasterCard, maybe that helps to send the right message.
the first time was more than 2 days, the second time a matter of hours. i wonder if, like scotty mentioned, that the phone validation made it take a bit longer for the first time.
If you order them regularly like say 100 a week, just always be one ahead of yourself.
It used to take around 2 hours but 4-5 hours now since this year.
Also, probably from July last year, when I order it after office hours, after I receive it at the same night, I am not able to use it immediately.
The eftpos machine shows Payment declined although the Money app shows the correct balance.
This got me into trouble twice when I got nothing else to pay for petrol…From today, the expiry date extends to 30 Mar 2117,99 yrs later.Hopefully Woolies still lasts till then.
I ordered one yesterday at 11:57AM, and got delivered at 12:29PM on the same day. Maybe it's just you?
For this year they did add an extra step to validate the mobile number and you can no longer ask Woolworths to send the egift card on your behalf (always have to send to the email address of the account holder first). I guess they are trying to buff up the security after all the hacking incidents last year.
