I couldn't find this deal on the Big W website, or in the catalogue, or in my local Big W, so I don't think I'll hav emuch luck price matching, but if someone can price match at Officeworks then it might open the door for others to do the same.
Are these better than Instax cameras?

I dont think the instax have memories, but their lenses seem to have more possibilities, whereas this polaroid seems a bit limited photo-wise (i somehow think it is probably worse than an average smartphone)
Prints and saves to memory, that's actually pretty cool. Doesn't look waterproof though. I bet $99 can get you a little polaroid printer for your phone these days.
I am a clueless uncle, so could this be a good birthday present for my 10 year old niece?
I would say yes. They are great fun for a kid to actually print and have small Polaroids attached to the fridge or hung on the wall, so much more fun then digital images on a cell phone. I bet a 10 year old kid would get weeks of fun out of it. Make sure to buy a bunch of instant photo paper to refill it.

New model with a screen and bluetooth was released.
Be aware these don't print an actual polaroid film photo, it's basically a really basic phone camera with an attached sticker printer.
And the little photo paper is a rip off at $39.84 for a pack of 30 2X3”
