I have the toilet roll holder and the towel rail. They are based on tiny allen screws which hook behind metal pins. Bit hard to explain, but basically it can get a bit loose after a while. Especially the toilet roll holder, which only has one allen screw to keep it hooked. The pin inside the toilet roll holder is kept in place by another small allen screw which goes into a groove on the pin; make it too tight, and it won't move. Make it too loose, and the pin falls out.
You get what you pay for. No sign of rust or discolouration yet though, after several years of use.
