PSA: Vodafone Has Scrapped Their "Roam to NZ for Free" Postpaid Offer, Now $5/Day

https://www.ausbt.com.au/vodafone-scraps-free-roaming-in-new…

Vodafone Australia will axe free roaming in New Zealand from February 2018, bringing Kiwi country back onto its $5/day scheme. Two years on, that appealing deal is being scuppered starting February 8, 2018. New Zealand will go back to being one of almost 60 countries covered by Vodafone's $5/day global roaming plan, although there remain a few noticeable holes in that roaming map, foremost among them being the UAE.

I mean it won't give you much "bill shock" at $5/day, but you might want to look into buying a local SIM when visiting NZ if you are staying long.

You can get Spark $19 SIM for $10 NZD at Parallel Imported. Free Shipping to NZ address. 750MB data, best coverage.

  • It’s incredible that phone companies still don’t give free roaming when in NZ and vice versa.

    • Especially when it's standard in NZ, for unlimited/included calls and SMS to include AUS.
