Quite misleading to state Full HD 1080p playback everywhere when the unit itself is only 480p.

    • Means it can play 1080p sources

  • How hard would this be to install in a 2015 RAV4 for someone with no auto electrical experience but a bit of PC building experience and happy to take it slow? It seems like reasonable value assuming I don't need to buy anything else to get it up and running

    • You'll definitely need to buy other things like fascia kit and steering wheel harness.

Almost plug and play - but most modern cars need another $250-$500 of adaptors and facia panels and steering-wheel-control-convertors. Plug your make and model into AerPro - https://aerpro.com/vehicles/toyota/toyota_rav4_2013 - to find out exactly what you'll need to buy.

    WVGA in 2018 - why?

Even the brand new devices announced at CES this year are WVGA - I think I only spotted one very high end (and very expensive) 720p model.

    • i think thats the resolution carplay and android support. no real need to go higher on such a small screen

    • Its a car screen, doesnt need to be OLED or 4K etc
