  • Woolworths currently have the 16 pack Golds at half price for $8.

  • About the best deal on cells I've ever seen. And safeway is 16 for 8.80
Now to try and combine this with http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/36412
    hmmm..

    • Buy 29 packs, receive $50 voucher, buy another 7 packs - works out to be roughly $5.50 per pack then!

      Oh, and you'll have 720 batteries…….

  • For NSW residents, have to add delivery fee ( I assume it is vary ,depend on location).

  • I think this may be too good to be true. I see 3 errors on page.

    • RRP$13.95
      web special $7 save $1.95*

      math error

      • Thats one. The other two?
Well, the title says Energiser, but the subtitle says Eveready. Energiser don't make Eveready, they're two different battery manufactors.
Second, the code. 1215HP20BB corresponds to the super heavy duty. Seeing how jb have those for $8, I think that makes it far more likely that this was supposed to be for those, despite the picture being for gold.

Still, you may be able to con a gullible salesperson into giving it to you for $7, but if they go by the code, your getting regular super heavy duty, which are nothing flash

    buy rechargable batteries from dealextreme.

these non-rechargable batteries should be illegal.

    • So should fake branded and incorrectly rated NiMh.

Oh that is pretty much all that is on DX isnt it…

      • some of the batteries are decent.

I've bought numerous inexpensive batteries there and they have been good.

just read the reveiws. they will tell you whats good and whats crap.

  • everready batteries are terrible!

    • +1

you're thinking of "heavy duty" and "extra heavyduty"

      those are zinc carbon.

gold is alkaline pretty much equal to duracell/energizer

      • +1

Yeah Duracell have done a good job of destroying the energizer name (for the battery uneducated) with their stupid ads.

Compare pretty much any alkaline to any heavy duty and the heavy duty will get beaten every time.

It is like ford coming out and saying their falcon has 200KW and holdens barina only has 60. Yes they are both cars but it is a stupid comparison.

  • Bunnings has (or had at least at my local one) Arlec alkaline 30 pack with a bonus battery tester for around $8

I have been using them around the house and they seem fine.
