          @JTTheMan: Due to power drop off. The cable needs to get progressively thicker the longer it needs to be. At 5m, 5V and 3A you're looking at single wires of approx 2mm-2.5mm diameter EACH. A USB 2.0 cable has five of them (including ground), plus shielding outside. A USB 3.0 cable has nine of them (including ground) plus shielding. At that stage you're basically carrying a 240V mains cable, and may as well. Unfortunately physics beats us this time.

    Are any of these cables benson approved? I couldn't find anywhere that said they were. From my brief reading I should be careful of USB type cables that claim to be able to take 3A?

    I found that the Blitzwolf TC1 cables are approved but these are the TC3, is this a newer model cable or is it different in some other way.

    For Reference.

    Purchased over $40 worth of cables. I am yet to test them all.

    Purchased a micro-USB version of the cable listed, and the cable smokes from the microusb end when plugged in.
