HN have a price guarantee. If you find a lower advertised price within 30 days you can go back and get a refund of 110% of the difference.
(Well that was the policy months and months ago don't know if they've changed it)
Take that policy with a grain of salt, it's as good as useless.
The last time I tried using it they said "yeah it says that but it's up to the discretion of the store, and we're not doing it"
That or they'll start using some outrageous qualifiers like "oh it has to be in a competing store within a 5 minute walk and only while a full moon is passing through the tropic of cancer"
Thanks for the clarification. So they'll refund you 110% of the difference, but that's assuming you keep the item, right? Even if natedogg118 did refund the item, and kept the 10% of the difference, that would only be about $20 or so, wouldn't it? I'm not sure how he calculated that.
It's 110% refund of the DIFFERENCE.
So if JB HiFi is $100 cheaper, they give you $110 back.
It is certainly no where near being an extra 10% off the ticket price.
Not really worth the risk of them flat out saying no to it for such a small additional discount. If JB HiFi are nice enough to offer the discount in the first place why not just buy there? (unless of course you can make a reasonable saving elsewhere. Would not give HN my money for an extra $10-15 off)

If you read the website you'll see that it include only imacs and macbooks. It even says "excludes ipad" under the "Until Sunday!" banner although it is semi-hidden there.

Not sure about JB Hifi, last time they said its stock only. But Myer will match JB price and allows you make custom order. Adding the extra 10% gift card bonus and if you will take out of the country within 30days, that its like almost 30% off!
so spoke to one of the staff at Harvey Norman… Their new best price gaurantee is that they will beat any price by $1

Really, there is no point in purchasing at 10% off. You can generally haggle greater than 10% off.

in my time working for jb as a salesman i never took ten percent off any apple product, regardless of how many accessories were purchased. ten percent off apple is pretty hard to get away with under most circumstances.
