IMHO, Cherry Blossom doesn't sell the good quality sushi. I tried once, it was wasting money + hurting my lunch time.
My favourite is a little store on the southern end of James Place near City Cross. Their sushi costs $2-3 but every day they run one of the following specials all day: 'buy 2 and get 1 free' or 'buy 3 and get a free drink'.

There's a place on Miller St North Sydney that has normal price of $2 per roll, or 3 for $5. Not a bad lunch for $5, I can assure you!
I think suchi is expensive in Adelaide because they don't have access to any decent fish ROFL (sarcasm).
If you know where to look you can get good quality sushi in Adelaide for a bit over $2 regularly. Still, it's a good deal.
