Singleton is a nice whisky. Smooth, almost quiet entry with a big finish. $55 is a great price, about $15 or $20 off. Also on special was Talisker at $85 although I'm not sure of the usual price. Talisker good for those who like a strong taste of peat in their whiskies.
I saw these at Liquorland in Bendigo.
The box says single malt. I like this one better than the 12 YO. I find the 12 YO a little lacking, although still nice. This one has a stronger and very warm finish.
Of course, whisky is a very personal thing…
Nice find! Singleton is an excellent entry point for anyone wanting to begin their whisky journey. It's not overly robust but still a classic Scotch flavour. A good price for a single malt, too. Not as good a discount on the Talisker, it's normally between $80-$90 most places.

As far as I can tell, the Spey Cascade is a blend with no set age, and traditionally the cheaper of the two.
