Was looking for a pair of headphones for my son with a volume limit built in and came across the JBL's. In the process also stumbled across the Linden ear buds. Might be useful for anyone that wants a backup/throwaway pair. Nothing listed in the way of a spec on their website but I suppose you can't ask for much at this price point.

The JBL JR300's seem to have consistently good reviews. They have an 85db volume limit and also come with stickers in the pack for the kiddies to 'customise' them. The BT version has a 12hr battery life and a 10min charging = 1hr playtime feature.
