Looking to purchase a Kenwood or KitchenAid Stand Mixer. Will mostly use the dough hook for buns/breads so I'm guessing I'll need a heavy duty motor. Does anyone have a recommendation on which brand and model I should get.
Thanks heaps…

you gotta spend dough to make dough.
Secondhand Hobart commercial model.
Thanks mskegg
I have a kitchenaid
If you’re doing a lot of dough, it ain’t great.
I’d keep an eye out on gumtree for something commercial
Thanks pasey. The KitchenAid KPM5 is one model I'm seriously thinking of getting. It's a semi-commercial machine.
I use flexible ice packs draped over the motor on my kitchen aid to keep it cool while kneading. And I have an aftermarket dough hook since the kitchenaid one is hopeless
If you want a heavy duty dough maker I would go to some of the places that sell Commercial quality appliances and talk to them about what you are intending to do. If you read reviews for the "home" grade appliances they tend to talk about motor issues if you make a lot of dough.
How much dough can you spend?
