Anyone Here Buy Chinese Runners/Sneakers?

And by 'Chinese' I don't mean big name western brands that are made in China. But actual Chinese brands like XTEP https://www.aliexpress.com/wholesale?catId=0&initiative_id=S…

Or Li Ning: https://www.aliexpress.com/wholesale?catId=0&initiative_id=A…

Just wondering how the quality/comfort stacks up to brands like Nike/ Asics?

Thanks

very like running! wide стопу fit shape. i'm very satisfied order! color bright as the photo. slippery not shoelace. visible parts dock in some glue, but over such price is acceptable. film пупырчатую was packed, shipping fast. thank you seller!

there you go, just like a pair of Nikes

    • lols, yup I can read the foreign language reviews….that's why I was asking for some first hand knowledge. :)

      • lol those comments were hilarious!

on a serious note, why not just wait for a 50% new balance sale?

        • Yeah I could do that. But some of those Chinese ones look good (others not so much :) )and at a better price even on sale. Hard to tell quality/comfort from a pic though. Also nice to try different stuff now and then.

        • @EightImmortals: yeah I did notice some of the designs do resemble Nikes (probably copies).

No idea about quality, sorry. I guess it depends on what you're after though.

If you're used to a certain level of cushioning and are serious about stuff like the fit, weight, breathability etc then theres a high chance you'll be disappointed.

  • I can say for sure that replica ultraboost are comfortable af. And replica yeezys.

  • Li ning is quite big in China. Same as Erke, Anta, 361, Qiaodan. Very good quality. Took 2 years to wear out my Qiaodan sneakers which I bought for less than $10 AUD.

You need to make sure what you're buying isn't a knockoff.

  • I am also interested in Chinese branded running shoes (Li Ning, Anta, XTEP, 361° etc) however lacks of information on the product pages (neutral/stability, drop, etc) and lack of accessible reviews makes choosing the shoes impossible.

Anyone knows a good Chinese brand running shoes review/comparison site? In Chinese or in English?

    • Klay Thompson (NBA all star) is sponsored by Anta so I'm assuming there'll be some stuff online on those shoes at least?

A piece of advice from someone who consulted in the medical side of the footwear industry: don't skimp on shoes as the insoles, stability, construction, support, wearability all affect your foot health and general health. In general, most of the clients that were seen by the medical practitioners (podiatrists) used to wear cheap, pretty bad footwear (although good looking) that were not properly fitted and constructed and hence developed issues such as cross-over toes, hammer toes, plantar fasciitis etc.
I reckon a shoe that is sold for $10 cannot be constructed out of the same quality materials and with the same kind of built quality and technology as a Nike or Adidas shoe which costs probably around $30 just to make.
And I have not even started about possible other issues with the the chemicals used to treat materials used to make the shoe.

Just be very careful or you will be full of regrets in the future/long term.

Note: I used to buy cheap shoes until I saw the consequences first hand on a daily basis for a while.

A very good point. Protect your knees and feet.

The problem is the last 3 expensive (~$300) running shoes I have bought have been of dubious build quality, though. It is hard to tell if Nike, NB or Saucony are also just making $10 shoes now and the money goes into marketing.

    • Thanks for that, I wasn't looking to be REALLY cheap and nasty shoes. My thinking was that maybe some of these brands are the equivalent of well known western brands in terms of quality, possibly made in the same factory. As you say, an Adidas might cost $30 to make so if I can get that for $50 instead of $200 then that's what I'm after. (hope that makes sense)

  • LiNing's Way of Wade (signature shoe of Dwyane Wade) are lowkey fire
