Hi all,
Starting a new job soon and was wondering - where do you go to buy ties and other accessories?
Looking for something of decent quality and I will be meeting clients regularly.
Cheers!

I bought 25 pocket squares in a variety of different colours for $15. Obviously, upon touching the material, it wasn't the best quality, but decent. The pocket squares were slightly smaller than others I have purchased in the past, but no one touches a pocket square.
Fold it up right and it looks like it costs $150.
I'm sure you can get some good tie deals on there as well.
Otherwise, OTAA makes good quality ties.

yep check out OTTA - support local =)
So im' a toooootal cheap skate, but a well dressed one?
For the pocket squares, I buy 20cm offcuts of fabric from spotlight. Literally just go pick a colour/style/finish that you like, then cut into a square, and stuff into your pocket. Obviously you won't be able to do a style where the edges show, but you can go with the pouffe kinda look. I have a huge stack of them in a bag. But you wouldn't expect to spend any more than about $4 for it, and you can make a whole bunch if you want to?
For the ties, I either buy some cheapies off ebay (good for knitted ties and bow ties), or I buy from the Salvos/Vinnies. They're not normally any more than $2 each, and you used to be able to get some great quality silk ties. People tend to simply donate estate items, rather than sell them. I have about 50 ties, and the vast majority didn't cost more than probably $100 total
As above, salvos/vinnies/savers.
My wife loves going to the op shop and when i'm stuck with her there I always go and look at the ties.
I have a tendency to buy ties that I dont end up wearing because they dont match any of my shirts or I realize I dont like them. But when you are picking them up from the op shop for $2-$3, it doesn't really matter. I end up regularly wearing about 1 in every 3 that I buy.
or here if 500pcs is too much for you:

MJ bale is decent quality and not expensive.
You don’t want to buy cheap crap
Thanks for all the replies guys - does OTAA ever have sales?
Looking for something in between the cheap eBay $2 ties and relatively expensive $40 ties from MJ Bale/OTAA/Tm lewin
Avoid OTAA, their ties seem to be cotton or microfibre and won't be the same as a silk tie. Plus their designs are mostly outlandish but this is really dependent on your personal preferences, what your office dress code/culture is like and what impression you want to make on your clients.
For $40-50 per tie, I'd go with a silk tie from Charles Tyrwhitt or TM Lewin. You should be able to get free shipping on Charles Tyrwhitt ties if you click through one of those 3 shirts for $99 links on OzBargain. TM Lewin you can go in store (either a standalone, or I think they are also in Myer). CT and TML will also have outlandish designs, but the quality will be good for the price you pay.
Otherwise wait for "extra xx%" off at DJs/Myer and sus out some ties from there.
You really don’t know where to buy them ? lol
Good quality ties under $40? Nope
There's the Tie hut, that's on third. There's Ties R Us, that's on third too. You've got Put your Tie there, that's on third. Swing Low Sweet Businessman……Matter of fact they're all in the same complex. Its the Tie complex on third.
Could look at ”the tie bar” from memory the ties are $15-$30? Used to be cheaper iirc
Quality isn’t bad, don’t get me wrong they’re not as thick and luxurious as a premium tie, but they’re not bad. At the end of the day it’s a piece of material you wrap around your neck so I wasn’t going to spend heaps on just a few ties
When I started ft work I bought about 20
They have a ridiculously large range of styles and widths which means you can pick a width that suits your style/shape and then still have many patterns/colours to choose from. That’s what I liked the best, unbelievable range. Accessories are fair as well, if you’re a tie bar wearer just make sure it’s not wider than the tie 👌🏻
Edit: $19usd a tie
I found a few of mine in a Calvin Klein DFO Outlet in Melbourne, can't remember the exact price but it mustve been cheap
If you’re looking for good quality and cheap suitsupply.com
If just cheap I have no idea
