Closing AmEx Explorer - Best Program to Swap Points to?

Hey guys,

I will be closing my Amex Explorer card soon (so I can wait the 18 months before rejoining).

I've got about 50k points in my MR and was wondering what program people recommend shifting points into?

I generally have no preferred airline, so would SPG be the way to go (given the number of partner programs available)?

50k to SPG is not a lot of points to work with when transferred to SPG(2:1) you would be better of moving them to Velocity, check if they still have 15% transfer bonus.

I transfered mine AMEX points to SPG and then to Korean Air, I have flown with them before and with points I accumulated + AMEX/SPG I scored two business class return tickets from Sydney to Bali flying Garuda.
