Different Generation?
It’s the same model name, #DC18 RC they’d be the same kit?
Sometimes, for instance with Bosch (I know it doesn’t apply here though), you can see a fast charger that will do just that, and normally I can charge a Li battery in about 15-20 mins but they also another type that is slower. I mean, beyond looking at the model #’s, which look to be the same I’m not sure what the difference is.
I’m not really helping am I? They’d be closed now but I guess just ringing Makita tomorrow might be the way to go?

it's not a rapid charger.
Aren't they the same just with a different dust cap on the charging points?
