  • Have one of these. Pretty impressed with the brightness!

  • Thanks adr8, just received one of these last week and am so impressed I have just ordered another.

  • This would be my fifth one. I'm missing the Pink colour though, gotta catch em all !

  • Cheers grabbed two

  • Too slow, expired..

They are not the best quality. I’ve had two and both have died in under 6 months. Both lived on my keychain and only ever got turned on a handful of times to search for things under car seats.

    • 2 of mine lasted less than months, used once or twice only. Disposables seem a cheaper and more reliable option.

    • Im approaching 6 months now so hoping i am a little luckier. Will be more interested now to see how long it goes.

    • Is there a higher quality alternative product we can look at?

      • This will get you started…

      • I’m currently using a Fenix E05 torch on my key ring. It’s bright enough and my rechargeable AAA batteries don’t make running it too expensive. Still cheaper than buying a new Nitecore Tip every 6 months.

    • Are you sure they are genuine? There are cheap copies around, and judging by the price this is likely one of them.

If it is genuine there is a lockout mode to stop it from draining in your pocket that may have activated as demonstrated in this Youtube clip: Lockout Mode

      • They never activated in my pocket. They just died because they were bad. They’d turn into strobe lights before completely giving up the ghost.

  • Bought 3 last a year ago never got them.

Did you try contacting them about it?

  • I received mine in the mail about a week ago. It works great. I took it camping on the weekend and it was all the light I needed. One thing to note: I got the green one I get quite a bit of light coming back through the transparent plastic towards my eyes. I would recommend getting the black colour to avoid this issue. I'm going to open mine up and stick some electrical tape in there to stop this happening.

  • Features 2 brightness levels and infinitely variable output modes

    infinite modes?

    • I'll put money on it not being infinite. I'd guess 64 brightness levels at best.

2 quick clicks and holding the second click down ramps the output between low and high until you release it. Function works well, but agree their lifespan is limited. Mine never made the 6 month mark and were only ever used occasionally when not on a shelf.

    • That's weird, I wonder why there's so many reports of them dying after a few months. So even after you charge it back up, it doesn't turn on at all?

    • Glad to see others are noticing the shitty quality. Previously on another deal I negged it then got negged to death for stating a truth. Don’t buy this POS torch, it will let you down in your darkest times.

    Nitecore TIP

Much better, and sometimes it's very cheap.

Got mine for $16 on a gearbest special

    • I agree also got mine from https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/344094 it is much better and brighter than the Tube, having said that my two Tubes are still going strong and I have had them for over a year now.
