  • These are grey imports though, yeah? So not as good QC as Aussie stock? Has that been the consensus in the past on these and COTD/Catch stock also?

    • Aussie stock?

When you say 'Aussie stock', do you mean 'Australian manufactured' ?

I thought all shoes were made overseas and imported by the companies ……..

      • As discussed in the link in alexrt31's reply below (and the link that links to).

    • Not sure, some mixed comments in this post

Even if they are grey imports $89 is a bargain

      • Thanks, that's about what I remembered reading in the past. Agree still a great bargain.

Sadly only one colour option in my size. I wonder how quickly one of those vouchers off eBay would arrive… hmm :)

        • I purchased the vourcher with snj store14 on ebay this morning. 2 codes to my email 2 hours later. I checked that expiry date for the vourcher is 28th Feb.please double confirm with the seller.

        • @ti6331: Yeah man, I bought a code this morning and it arrived shortly after. I've already bought some shoes - I had 2 x $10 credits on my Kogan account and one was going to run out on 20 Feb! :D

I buy the 'cheapest' most awful Asic's imaginable! I buy them from some guy who mysteriously always finds a shady spot to hide his face, the one who opens his trench coat jacket and says 'I got Nike, Reebok, Asics, what do you want and what do you want to pay'

Somehow… no matter how cheap I get them they always tend to last 3+ years (and I do a fair bit of walking). Beats the living crap out of the pairs from Target/Kmart that tend to last 2-3 weeks then blow out and get incredibly uncomfortable!

I wouldn't worry too much about a $150 (or so) pair. You're bound to get alot of life out of them! I hardly think that a manufacturer with a reputation like ASIC would 'bump up' component quality just for a small market like Australia. The fact they would have to hold different strength glues, components etc and then get them out, put them back, hold, rotate etc doesn't sit well with me

I wouldn't hesitate to buy if it wasn't for the fact I still have a brand new pair of 24's ready to go I recently just bought

Never had any issues with grey Kayanos. Normally get 700-1000km. My go to seller is myshoes0103 on eBay (not affiliated).

  • how can I get the $50 off from eBay? thanks

    • Click the eBay link in the description and buy a voucher. They are under $10 and typically get sent via eBay message service within two hours in my experience

    • interesting, have you tried it, please let me know if did work, thanks.

"mens" kayano 23 that don't go past size 10.

i managed to score a pair of size 14 kayano 23s from gpfshoes on ebay for $160 delivered. you know what they say about people with big feet - it's bloody hard finding cheap shoes that fit :(

gotta say though - i've had kayano 17s which got me close to 1000kms, 19s got me around 600kms and the current 23s already hurt my feet on long runs. So not sure if their quality is dropping or maybe its just me.

  • Got the Kayano 23 from Rebel shop Melbourne Central a year ago , really shock to find there is fuss ball at the inside of the shoes just around 2-3 months after the purchase. There is other wear & tear too 2 months ago.I just go to the gym 3-4 times a week for some relax exercise

  • Thanks alexrt31 picked a pair of 23s for $89. The 24s are currently $259.95 at Rebel. Appreciate you identifying such a bargain!

  • Amazing deal for Kayanos! Been looking for a deal and ended up getting them $99 delivered! Thanks a heap!

  • Well done Kogan, jacked up the price on the 24s I was watching :(

    • u snooze u looze
