It’s a mystery if this is a Bargain.
The real mystery is how long the shoes will last as quality lot worse than used to be
Avoid Hush Puppies, they are no longer a reputable company and only sell shoes designed to fail after a short amount of time. Horrible and wasteful business practice, it should definitely not be supported.
Just riding the coattails of a recognised brand name, I've owned a couple of pairs and they fall apart like there's no tomorrow.
Colorado have done the same.
they're all following the precedent set by Rivers
Sadly it is a common trait by many these days and not in just the shoe industry either.
When I managed to get a refund on my Colorado shoes I ended up finding what I was looking for at Rivers oddly enough!! They do have some rubbish but not all are.
Yep, they're $30 shoes, not $130… Even on sale they're too expensive for what you get.

Very true, this happened to me only three days ago. The uppers are still in great condition but both soles have crumbed and disintegrated. I will look to see if a proper shoe repairer can do anything with replacing the soles. One thing is for sure, never buying another pair. The soles have not worn out, they have broken down stucturally and chemically like crumbling styrofoam.

I recall reading on another forum that someone discovered that the soles have been designed specifically to disintegrate after a short amount of time, something along the lines that they have been manufactured with a chemical that intentionally "eats" away at the rubber. I don't have a source on that though, just something I read somewhere. Planned obsolescence should be made illegal, not only is it deceptive to the consumers it's also wasteful and harmful for the environment as it all ends up in landfill.
I hope you can find someone to replace the soles for your pair. :)
"Planned obsolescence should be made illegal, …."
can someone tell Apple that?
What's the best alternative to these? Have been wearing them as work shoes for a few years, but have noticed the quality getting worse along the way as well.
What a stupid concept.
