    any 20% on a split aircon from Mitsubshi or similar ?

    • Appliance Central are part of the deal so they have 20% off their split systems - they did jack up their prices, but they are still pretty competitive.

  • +2

    Don't be fooled, most of the items have been jacked up hard!

    • Couldn't agree more. Wanted a Google Wifi x 3 - Price magically went up from $395 to $429 at 10 am. Disappointing as usual.

    • +2

      Dunno how anyone could honestly think price jacking doesn't occur. Thankfully there has been plenty of deals posted already.

      • Plenty? More like half a dozen fairly ordinary deals. The highest upvoted deal so far if for a refurbished Galaxy S8/S8+, and most of the votes would have blindly occurred before the post was update to reflect that stock was not brand new Australian stock (as it was originally).

        • +2

          Plenty is a fact. 11 so far infact. The quality of the deals are just your opinion. The dell for example is a good deal in my opinion.

          These posts always have the same people sharing deals anyway. Most people here never contribute.

        • @Clear: Quality of a deal is reflected by the number of up votes, hence the voting system. Enjoy your Dell.

        • +3

          @aja12: Correct. So if the deal is in your opinion a good one you upvote it. Unfortunately most people who actually click on and purchase are guests so no votes are counted.

    Prices are a joke, Everything has been raised up, Im glad I bought my stuff the other day from Computer Alliance and it was actually 10% off !!!

    • +2

      Everything has been raised up,

      This hasn't

      • Ok 90% has been.. happy ?

        • +7

          Yes. Enjoy your day :)

  • -4

    LOL at this joke of a site and users.

    Like it makes any difference I commented with an "X" for a downvote instead of the usual "I searched for X that went from $Y to $Z" for a downvote.

    • +4

      LOL at this joke of a site and users.

      Aren't you a user?

      • +5

        Well, he's certainly not a contributor.

        • -4

          Contributing != Recognizing the usual weekly pricejacked ebay deals

        • -1

          @matte1: contributing == posting deals for the benefit of everyone

        • @steff:

          Thanks putting 1 and 1 together.

          Yet that does not refute the fact that not posting any deals is mutually exclusive to acknowledging that the majority of these eBay deals are price-jacks.

        • @matte1: if you bother to look, thee's plenty of deals even with the price jacking

        • @steff:

          And there's plenty more that do contain price jacks.

        • -2

          @matte1: is there a point you're trying to make?

        • @steff:

          Do you have problems reading?

          Refuting someone's comment because they don't post deals is irrelevant to acknowledging that a large percentage of these so called weekly eBay deals contain price jacks.

          I have literally stated that multiple times, is there another point you're trying to make? Making a statement that contributing = posting deals, you're essentially arguing a fact that I never presented and I also have never refuted.

        • -2

          @matte1: good on you mate

        • @steff:

          Solid retort.

          I'm not your mate, pal.

        • -2

          @matte1:

          Solid retort.

          thanks!

        • @steff:

          nps!

      • Woops, embarrassingly yes.

    • +3

      What does X mean?… Seriously how hard is it to put a sentence together…

      • -1

        Absolutely nothing, hence my point of putting together a sentence and not just to downvote makes no difference anyway when it'll get revoked by sheeples.

        • Mods actually revoked your neg. Are you saying they're sheepies?

        • -1

          @Clear:

          I was under the impression it is auto revoked based on overall negative votes on a comment.

          But there's no denying the voting system itself is flawed and the mods don't care as these typical deals just attribute to site traffic, then yes they are.

          Hence why I don't care enough to bother to write anything more than "X" just for the ability to downvote.

        • @matte1: Then enjoy your negs being removed more in the future.

        • -1

          @Clear:

          I couldn't care less, hence the initial "X" comment required to vote, though I can see why I've hurt your feelings with this previous comment as you clearly dedicate a fair bit of time to this site.

        • @matte1: If you want your negs to stay don't say "X". I have nothing to be upset about.

        • -1

          @Clear:

          Except several people have their votes revoked before even when provided a valid point with provided sources that the deal contains a majority of pricejacked items.

          Also the fact that you even commented "He's not a contributor" implies that you feel the need to prove your dedication and feel of superiority on this site is laughable - the exact comment by the OP of the previous eBay post a week ago to being called out.

        • @matte1: And theirs was removed by the community.

          I love getting into the monthly stats. I was disappointed that I didn't get 30 negs with that comment.

        • @Clear:

          From looking at the previous thread, you were the same person that made the comment to disregard a comment because they've "never contributed before" - so clearly I'm correct in my observations regarding your need to make that statement.

          See Orpheus' reply regarding your attempt to strawman.

        • @matte1: Gotta go all out in the neg firestorm if you want to reach 30 negs. Much safer on this back page here.

        • @Clear:

          Point proven.

        • @matte1: My comment count is growing.

  • Paid 20% less than $169 for UE Boom 2. Could have got it for $112 from eGlobal, but ~$135 from local supplier seems like a good deal to me

  • Apple airpods for $499? Wat the f…. $400 even after discount…

    http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Brand-New-Apple-AirPods-Bluetooth…

  • +2

    These sales are so disingenuous. I go searching for a deal and the sellers just jack up their prices accordingly. so the 20% site savings deal is basically free advertising and the money goes straight to the seller and not the consumer. Also a portion goes back to ebay for being a good market place.

  • Looking for a new monitor.

    Acer Predator X34P

    Normal price is $1699. Jacked up to $1999

    After 20% discount applies, it comes down to $1599 heh

    So save $100

    That's barely a 6% discount. Not exactly the greatest sale.

  • Beats Studio 3 are listed as $479 before the discount in one of the local "sale stores" . JB Hi Fi have them at $426….

    So it's a 10% off sale.

  • DJI Spark + remote was $628 two hours ago before 20% discount now is $999!

  • Some average deals but lots of vendors just jack the price up.

    http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/APPLE-IPHONE-64GB-256GB-Gold-Grey…
    iPhone 8 256GB selling for $1899 with 20% off comes to $1519.20 (well above RRP of $1329) which although terrible value would be OK, except that they only started selling it for $1899 when the sale started. Prior to the sale they were selling for $1172.15 (17/02/18) (was $1230 minus the previous ‘PICK5’ 5% off sale which was running at the time).
    I logged a case with the ACCC but I didn't get the vibe that they were overly interested with is why Ebay sellers keep getting away with this.
    I'll post an update if the ACCC respond.

  • Is there any method to report stores for selling at higher $ than their own sites - and/or above RRP?

    Example
    https://www.logitech.com/en-au/product/mx-ergo-wireless-trac…

    https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/292429883462
    https://www.sydneytec.com.au/logitech-mx-ergo-wireless-track…

  • Anyone purchased from Allphones_Online before?
    Even though it say Aus-Stock, would they send you grey import?

  • anyone have any experience with appliance central? Thanks

  • Well I came away with an MSI GTX1060 6GB graphics card on the first day of the sale. I had a few in my watch list prior to the sale. One seller who was listed as being one of the participating stores was no longer on the list come sale day which was a bummer. One card became out of stock when I sent a seller an inquiry, so had to resort to another one. There were plenty on sale, but I needed one with 2 HDMI ports, which limited to what I could buy. Purchased one that a seller only had 1 left of,ended up pay $450 delivered after 20% discount and all the price jacking, which was really only $30-$40 cheaper than buying one locally (If I could find it in stock) still one of the cheapest priced cards listed on the sale though. Am going to take it overseas with me next month and claim the TRS 10% back on it, so in theory I would've only paid $400, and going by the current market for graphics cards, makes it a comfortable price to pay

  • Can anyone confirm this stacks with eBay gift cards? (eg, from Woolies)

    • does

      • how many can you use in 1 transaction (Ebay GC).

        • Ts&Cs say 8 but some users have reported that they've been able to use more than 8…

        • +1

          @CVonC: thanks for that!
