Good price but replacement air filters are expensive.

      https://www.samsung.com/au/home-appliance-accessories/filter…

$119 from samsung if they last a full year between replacement i guess its reasonable.

Probably better off buying an extra full purifier at that price for the filter

    • Useful in the office if you drop your stapler, maybe

    • +1

Be careful with Bata. I had a pair of boots brand new and the PU sole basically crumbled to pieces on the first wear.

When I asked the retailer about it they pushed me to Bata. When I contacted Bata, they claimed they never made the boot despite bring a Bata boot. And refused to even look into the fault.

Will never buy from Bata again after that incident.

      • If you have a receipt then the seller needs to entertain your request. They can't just push you to the manufacturer.

        • The business has since gone bust (the boot was bought in 2003/2004), and Bata has been blacklisted to me as a poor quality manufacturer, and even poorer customer service.

      Evaporative Cooler $15

Any good deals on "Evaporative Warmers" for Melbourne?

      • +3

I think they're sold under 'kettle' at most shops.

    • +3

A lot of people don't understand evap coolers. They work great in low humidity which is what they're meant for. I had a portable one out west (low humidity/high heat) and it was perfect on hot nights. They'd work well in Melb. on the low humidity hot days. Not every day is humid.

      • Agree! Fantastic for dry heat. Would do SFA in Brisbane, but perfect for Melbourne.

      • +1

Dry heat is the best. Not sure why you'd want to ruin it with humidity.

  • Merged from [SA]Smart Home Clearance (Philips Hue, Arlo, Swann CCTV, Yale, Lockly & Samsung Smart Locks & More) @ Bunnings Adelaide Airport
    Go to Deal

    Hi All
Was in Bunnings Adelaide Airport tonight and came across 2 entire carts of clearance smart home lights security cameras door locks etc lots of stock all marked down

    highlights:

    Hue 2m Shape Light $79
    Hue 5m Shape Light $299
    Hue Extension Light $19
    Yale Smart Lock $249
    Arlo Pro 2 $179
    Samsing Smart IoT Door Lock
    Swann 4K Ultra HD 8ch NVR +4camers
and heaps more. they had 2 trolleys like this and lots of stock on there.

I grabbed 2 Philips Hue Filament bulbs for $35 instead of $44

Think this is local to Adelaide Airport Store only but i could be wrong. Everything on the 2 carts is marked down for clearance so first come first serve. I think they had to get rid of this stock because they needed room in the lockup cages for newer stock etc

Enjoy all Sharing is caring ;)

    • How much was the 5m shape light? $299 is not correct.

  • Merged from Tin Signs from Valvoline, Penrite, Tridon, Ryco Filters & Many More $0 In-Store @ Supercheap Auto
    Go to Deal

First, PLEASE do not call the stores harassing them about free tin signs. It's not an official deal or anything (in fact it's kind of a secret). It's at each stores discretion. If you want to ask for a tin sign, at least go in there and buy something and support the store. Not every store still has them. I didn't really bother to survey how many were floating around seeing as I already have more than I could ever possibly know what to do with. Remember that the stores (and especially the managers) are EXTREMELY busy and don't have time for calls about free tin signs. If you get told no, MOVE ON.

Please consider this more as a ''nice to have'' and a ''bonus''. Do not call the stores sea gulling. If you do, it won't be long before they get tired of me posting stuff like this on OzBargain and if the big bosses request me to stop posting here regarding SCA, then I will have to stop. Plain and simple.

Just when you do your weekend shop there kindly ask if they have any more of those Valvoline and other tin signs that they were giving away with the oil purchases a while back.

You can get all different types. I didn't bother to take pictures of all the different types. There were many many more. I would estimate that there are over 10 different types (although I haven't even looked at them yet to be honest). I do remember the Ryco Filters one cause I thought ''that's cool''. They were cool enough that my family already sea gulled through my boxes of them and taxed a couple dozen LOL.

    Enjoy!

Got it - Call around first thing in the morning.

    • +1

      LOL

I have been reported 3 times for insufficient quantity already. I got so many of them that I decided to post it on OzBargain cause I got bored of collecting them and tired arms from carrying boxes full of them. They are out there.

      • What do you do with them?

        • -3

Well I only just got them yesterday.

But I just found out there are 8 different ones to collect. There's Bosch, Bendix, Ryco, Nulon, Castrol, Tridon, Valvoline & Penrite.

I'd probably sell them as a packs of 8 I would suppose. Not sure yet.

          • +5

@[Deactivated]: Do the "big bosses" know that you on-sell promotional products?

          • +3

@[Deactivated]: Or, you could use the Classifieds forum and offer them for free to fellow OzBargainers as they were originally intended. You could request the cost of postage as compensation and put a cap on how many you’ll give to each person. Just an option.

    • From memory, they were originally free if you spent over $50 on their products… (I think)…

    • +3

Where in the engine do these go?

      • +6

Swap out number plates. Drive to petrol station…

      • +1

They don’t go in the engine, they’re a classy way of covering rust holes…

        • +4

I thought that’s what gaffer tape was for? For years my Dad called them ‘racing stripes’ and I believed him. Although, I did wonder why fancy painted stripes went the length of racing cars and ours always seemed to go sideways…

          • @Chazzozz: Gaffer tape is the normal way, signs and old number plates are the classy way.

If you want to get ultra classy you actually cut the rust out, then put the sign/plate on the inner side of the panel, and then fill it with a layer of clear epoxy resin to create a nice level surface that won’t hold mud.

    • +2

Would love some of these but I bet my local either has none left or doesn’t want to give them away.

    • Can I get a box-trailer of them?

    • Aren’t these sign could be worth a lot of money to collectors and in production of movies/shows say 50 years time?

    • Bulk reports but still up haha

  • -2

    Hi guys.

First. Thanks to everyone for not calling stores and being redhot with it.

There's heaps out there if you care to look around abit.

I'm still seeing how mine go amongst family and friends before I decide what happens with the rest. A big part of why I do what I do is because I cash my entire extended family and friends far and wide with bargains galore and freebies. It's become tradition at mine that my family will rummage through my stock after I do my rounds. Then what is left at the end gets sold or given back to managers as gifts (many within the company are often chasing things that weren't available at their store or they missed).

    • Tried a couple of Sydney stores, they said they were cleared out by somebody yesterday who took the lot :(

      • I left most of them behind because I was more concerned with fitting other freebies in my car without having to go back to base again.

That's why I posted it here. I wouldn't have posted it if I wanted to or had taken them all.

Are these boots made for walking?

    • Marion store (SA) were clearing DeWalt steel cap, elastic sided boots for $50 last week, except for size 10 @ $25.

    • Is it possible to get work style boots without steel caps? I'm after something cheap for working in the garden.

Better deal than QLD, these boots are only down to $69 or $79 here. The Rossi ones are comfortable though and come in half sizes, whereas their other ranges don't seem to do half sizes.

I prefer the Aldi ones. The capsules are half the price and the coffee tastes twice as good…

      • +1

Correct, about the half price, as for taste thats personal. at least that means you wont be brodening this one.

This does come with pods - I read that was 16 (but cant confirm) So for 16 free pods and $18 net cash back its rather cheap.

        • as for taste thats personal.

I can only speak for myself…

So for 16 free pods and $18 net cash back its rather cheap.

Aldi ones are $5.99 for 16. How much to these ones normally cost?

      • The Aldi ones taste awful imo. I'll happily drink coffee brewed with Aldi ground coffee, but coffee made in those expressi machines with aldi capsules is something else completely.

    • There don't seem to be many good reviews on that page.

    • +1

          • @redhaze1: BIG W Castletown has stock…

            • @jv: Okay. Sorry I was vague with my original post… I couldn't find any throughout SA and inner Melbourne.

    • no stock and if any <10 available

    • This is their Vertuo line, you are stuck using their pods only. Not that it's a bad thing, I have a Creatista Plus and prefer the original Nespresso pods.
However, the Vertuo line has been panned left right and centre. Leaking is the main complaints.
The machines just aren't as solidly built as their original line. Get yourself the original line that's been tried and proven.

      • +2

Who cares, you can make 18 profit. And you can sell it brand new for another 40 at least

      • Yes mine leaked from around the pod seal and coffee would run out the back. Tried cleaning it, stretching the wires, descale and no luck. Nespresso were hopeless via email but after i rang them i got it sent back, repaired and returned. Meanwhile i had to buy another unit as i didnt want to drink instant coffee for a month.

    • No stock in Sydney

    • No stock within 100km. However, sometime you have to go to the store. Their system is not very accurate sometimes

    • I got this one https://www.bigw.com.au/product/delonghi-nespresso-vertuoplu… $62, should be eligible for the $100 cash back too

      • That comes with $80 cashback

        • Thanks for confirming

    • Does it come with the frother? Its $100 RRP by itself. You could just keep that , ditch the main unit and come out ahead.
