Just moved to Melbourne. Very trendy but trying to find a reasonable but decent place for a haircut.
Any recommendations?

I'd prefer old school. Happy to pay $25, $50 is a bit steep
I was paying $10 on Bourke Street. Now found an $8 place in Footscray.
If these trends continue they'll be paying you!
I know! I thought $10 was good and couldn't imagine it getting much cheaper..
so… any chance of disclosing these mighty affordable locations?
Bourke Street - Inside the RMIT building there are a few Korean hairdressers all give or take $10 for men.
Footscray - https://goo.gl/maps/44ZRnVkGM4P2 (almost directly opposite Vodafone on Leeds street)
Obivously, at this price you are getting a buzz - it's as trendy as you make it.
As in names and addresses?
Are you male or female? That will change how much you pay!
Could go to a Biba which is a hairdressing school (multiple locations) but I think they've gotten expensive lately so ask first. They're usually cheaper weekdays during business hours.
J.Lo Magic Hairdressing Salon (lol - seriously) in Tivoli Arcade off Bourke St (opposite Target) has $10 haircuts
Just make sure you show them a photo of what you want and you should be fine

There is a place on William st, pretty much near the corner of Bourke and William, think it was $20
The corner closest to the bluestone building, but facing into William st
Worst directions ever, good luck op
Biba academy on Johnston do cheap and pretty good haircuts.
Works best if you are a dude as they cost $10
Thanks for the input everyone. Looks like I'll check out the Biba academy
What do you consider to be a reasonable price?
$50 is the standard at most 'trendy modern' barbers but there is a few old school ones where you can get a cut for $25
