When you say normal price do you mean what they retail for at the supermarkets? Our price is $32.00 for 4 units or $10.99 per unit.
Don't bother, it doesn't work.
I tried to remove paint of the kid's school tops last week and it did nothing…
good to know; what ended up getting the paint out? or nothing yet?
nothing…
just need to make sure now they wear tops with paint on the days they have Art…
Could try:
- Scrape off any dried paint with a blunt-edged implement.
- Use a cotton bud to gently lift off any excess wet paint.
- Use a wet cloth to get the area with the paint wet. Avoid rubbing the stain as this may make it larger and will push it further into the fabric. – ie dab the paint blot until the fabric is wet.
- Saturate the paint stain with Isopropyl alcohol (eg. use an alcohol-based cleaner, like nail-varnish remover, hairspray, or rubbing alcohol to the stain with a clean dry cloth to break down the dried surface.)
- Use your brush to scrub lightly at first and then harder until the paint is no longer visible.

Does that product claim to remove paint (water-based, oil-based or whatever it was)?
It claims to remove stains in the title.
Not sure that I'd consider paint as a stain. I more think of sweaty, greasy, food spills, etc as stains. I imagine Di-San Oxy from Aldi would have similar target stains.
I think you'll probably need an alcohol based approach to cleaning those shirts considering they don't appear to be water-based stains.
@jdr:
why would a food spill be a stain and not a paint spill?
@jv:
As paint is "a coloured substance which is spread over a surface and dries to leave a thin decorative or protective coating". Grease and food are not typically used to cover of surface. Paint preferably does not come off easily on the surface you apply it to.
So Sard Wonder OXY Plus is only for things that aren't spread on surfaces?
I didn't see that on the label. It just says it removes stains
@jv:
I think @cozmo is pretty right, paint is a coating designed to be durable and adherent. Food and baby poo generally isn't.
@jv: It would probably be ok on freshly stained clothing with watercolours. But I think for any kind of acrylic paint "soakers" like these will struggle to do anything.

so is ink and they claim to remove that….
@jv:
So it does not say it removes paint ?
So it does not say it removes paint ?
It does not say it removes vegemite either.
It says it removes stains
@jv:
Stubborn and hard to remove sounds like some people we know!
I guess not all people have realistic expectations. You buy a toilet to flush away turds but then wonder why is gets clogged up when you put a horse turd in it. Sometimes the $h!t just don't fit!!!!
paint stains on school tops are quite common. nothing unexpected or unusual about them.
@jv:
And now you have a top your little one can wear every art day.
Yep, Thanks to Sard Wonder!!!
Is this the new catch of the day?
No we are not Catch of the Day. We sell similar products to what Catch of the Day sell. We also offer wholesale to businesses.
