According to coffee pod shop š
More 5 star customer reviews via independent review service (Yotpo) than any other brand
And the link to those are where exactly?
Cmon, it shouldn't be this hard for you to prove the statement
you seem like a really angry person.
Of course, I mean it's not like you'd publish negative reviews on your own site now would you…?
Thanks :) I look forward to judging you also once you've participated more on this site :)
@Spackbace:
I seem fat.As per Yotpo's website
The main difference between Yotpo and external customer sites[…] is that with Yotpo you own your customer reviews and the value that comes with them, and in the other sites you donāt. You may get reviews, but you are also giving away control of your reputation and that can be tricky.
So not really trustworthy at all.
Without at least some form of independent testing, I dont think you can use the reviews on your own website as a valid metric. Its extremely easy to doctor reviews.
Choice did some testing of their own, they found Nespresso's own pods came out the best tasting.

Can I ask how much did you pay for the reviews?
2 x Perfetto Roma Nespresso Compatible Coffee Capsules 60pk - $41.95 (Catch of the Day) - not a recommendation but everyone needs to be informed about their choices.

$99/200 = 49.5c per pod. That is not a great deal. I dont buy them unless they are around 40c or less per pod.
When Nespresso pods are on special at Coles, their premium brands (L'or, Lavazza or Grinders) are generally around $4 for a 10 pack.
And the L'OR ones are recyclable. These plastic ones are an environmental disaster.
But the rest taste like dirt unfortunately
Wouldnāt the solution to that be to buy a non pod machine?
People buy the pod machines for the convenience. Aside from the energy used to create and recycle the pods, the aluminium ones aren't too bad. Aluminium is infinitely recyclable and the process is simple (put the pods in a box or bag, print off a label and pop it in a post box).
Is L'OR bad, soso, or great in taste compared to other brands?
In my experience, L'OR is the best one after Nespresso originals.
FWIW, my partner actually likes LāOR pods the best of all that weāve tried, including Nespresso and Sensory Lab pods (boutique coffee roasters here in Melbourne). Her top two favourite pods are LāOR varieties (Onyx and Oro Sublime), while the third LāOR variety we tried she didnāt like as much, but it wasnāt too far behind.
But YMMV - I think most people find them not quite as good as Nespresso, but value for money when on sale.
LOR is cheaper when it is on sale in Woolworths and Coles. They use alumunium pods, excellent for nespresso machine. The plastic pod with other brand is just a headache, not as good as alumunium pod during the extraction.
Not such a great deal. The going price for 10 pods (when on sale) is $3.50-4.00 or 35-40 cents each. So for 200, the sale price should be below $70-80 and probably even less given that you are buying in bulk.
No deal. Pods are often <40c at Coles
I've previously bought these pods and posted a deal for them when they were 50 pods for $19.95 i.e. 40 cents each
my review back then was-
I like the coffee. inexpensive at this price. admittedly I enjoy grinders pods over these but Grinders are rarely below $5 for 10 and usually $6+ per box. Coffee has a subjective taste and varies batch by batch due to variations in growing conditions. I use these in a Delonghi nespresso machine and physical they work flawlessly.
Pods are so bad for the environment. They canāt be recycled. The guy who invented them wishes heād never unleashed them on the world.
Thatās my negative rant on pods for the night. They canāt be recycled
Some are biodegradable though, which I think is a better alternative to recycling.
Yes thatās true but a hell of a lot of energy and resources goes into producing a single use product where over 3 million a day end up in landfill.
Plastic pods can't be recycled. Nespresso and L'OR pods are aluminium which is infinitely recyclable. Both have very simple processes for recycling - Nespresso has drop-off locations (mine's a nearby florist) and the L'OR ones allow you to print off a prepaid shipping label.
Thatās just a token effort in order to make people feel better about using a dodgy product. You might drive to the florist to drop them off but how many actually do?
You canāt defend the indefensible.
āThe production, distribution and collection of coffee pods use massive amounts of energy in factories, stores and transportation, not to mention the waste that goes along with those processesā.
At the end of the day just grind some beans up yourself and the environment will thank you for it. Can you imagine in 10 years time how many people will be churning through pods each day? Quite a sad thought
Thatās it Iām done with my rant on pods. Enough.
Review from Amazon Canada: 3.9 out of 5, see here: https://www.amazon.ca/Nespresso-Compatible-Coffee-Capsules-Eā¦
Is your negative vote for the rating? Because 3.9/5 is not bad in my books.
Neg for price (50 cents per pod is a normal price), also for providing misleading reviews. Plus the quality issues according to the reviews.
According to who?
