Yay, finally! Time to stock up!

Price beat by 10% at chemist wharehouse

    • They price beat the price difference. But need to wait for someone who can do it for you.

    • +6

It's 10% of the difference. Though I really hate it when I've tried it in the past. They have to call up the store and make sure they have the stock first. It took ages for them last time when I got them to price beat Big-W

      • +2

Lol did they treat you with contempt?

    • Good luck! Both times i tried to price beat the store said they didn't do it….

  • Hopefully the $10 voucher they sent me for not shopping there in a while works with this sale!

    • +1

Mine expires today.. Double check yours too…

      • I did, "It has been added to your account to spend in store or online until 15/02/2018.".

Must be from the exact date of last purchase plus whatever time.

        • +1

          Lucky you.. Happy shopping :-)

  • Has anyone noticed that refill brushes don't indicate when it should be replaced? Normally, it should become whiter as it's used. The packaging says made in Germany and sold by Priceline, but as if it was from some eBay seller from China.

    • I thought fraying was the indication that you need to replace it… The colours are 50% marketing, hoping you'll replace them more frequently than you really need to, thus more $$$ for them.

      • I wouldn't be looking at that, that was just my observation, but on every packaging it shows when it goes white to replace, yet I have yet to see one that does that. It wouldn't be a surprise if it was a fake Chinese one, but it is when it is sold by an Australian company.

TERMS & CONDITIONS: *Excludes Ego and The Ordinary

Damn. Most stores probably don't have the stock/enough stock anyway. I think they actually made a loss on that brand last sale, thus no longer including them in this sale.

    • +3

My god! The ordinary was the only thing I was hanging out for this sale for! Lol

      • Same, only brand I really need now.

    • +1

Yeah, The Ordinary was what I was looking forward to. :(

  • +1

sorry im a dude I dont know much about what brands ect are good, but would anyone recommend anything for acne scars, im happy to try anything. would appreciate it thanks.

    • +1

far from an expert but i would say niacinamides and vit C are a good idea, and daily sunscreen is a must if you're not using it already, australia gets pretty crazy UV levels. (sunscreens mightn't do heaps for existing scars but will help prevent future ones)

if you have the time / will to do some research, r/skincareaddiction on reddit is full of very helpful people and some great starter guides for anyone who wants help with their skin, especially with common conditions like acne

Buy some Rosehip oil and massage into scarring every morning/evening. You only need a few drops, it should be applied after you wash your face but before you put moisturiser on. It does not leave your face oily, I use 3 drops for my whole face. I had horrid scarring/peeling/bleeding due to severe eczema on my face when I was in high school, rosehip oil cleared up the peeling and bleeding within two-three weeks and faded the scarring within a couple of months. I’m in my mid 20s now and I have absolutely no scarring whatsoever and I still use rosehip oil just to even out my skin tone and keep everything smooth.

      • Yeah, rosehip cleared my skin too. It might take some time, but after couple of months you'll notice how clearer your skin has become.. Anyway I won't recommend wearing it out on the sun because many oils are uv sensitive.

      • wow that sounds amazing, happy it worked for you I will give it a go also. I dont have any active acne just scarring was wondering if anything would help and rosehip oil sounds really good. Thanks for the help.

        • No problem! I have ridiculously sensitive skin and it took me years to get it under control so I have tried ALOT of products over the years.

Acne Scars.. Look at skin needling. Got rid of mine, no cream products got rid of mine

  • Is cetaphil included ?

    • Should be.

    • Yep. Bought the 1L gentle cleanser today, 14 bucks and lasts me a good 6 months with daily use.

Tell me I'm not the only one who had spreadsheets to document my invo :P
I've got plenty of stock, really only need a face cream…

    Recommendations:
My fav Australian brands are Sukin (budget) and Botani.
    La Roche-Posay - for sunscreen
    Bioderma Micellaire Water - cleanser

    I'm buying:
Sukin Rose Hip Oil Hydrating Day Cream 120 mL
Sukin Sensitive Soap Free Body Wash 500 mL
    Botani's PhytoBody Wash
    Baby Oil

Considering Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse, which I do like, but don't love/need.

    • I’ve got to check what I have at home but I’m thinking of getting some more rosehip oil, last time one of my local stores had the two pack of the akin rosehip (already a decent discount) and it was 40% off so I bought like 3. Only just running out and I bought them atleast a year ago.

    • Love Sukin! I have tried most of their products and am very pleased considering how affordable they are.

I'd like to hear more about La Roche-Posay's skincare. Any recommendations?

I've read very good things about the LRP Lipikar Baume AP. I'm going to give it a try this sale.

      • +1

I have used LRP's Anti-Helios (sunscreen), Sensi White Toner (toner) and Toleraine (moisteriser). Toleraine and Anti-Helios are so small, while Toleraine works I haven't really used it. The Sunscreen is fantastic, needs a good mix before use though. Heard their BB cream is also nice, probably not the best for dry skin and the colour selection is extremely limited.

However, the Sensi toner is an excellent toner. Good for skin-brightening (reduces sun tan) and very moisturising. I use it once a day, and the bottle lasted me for 1.5 years, it's awesome!

        • Thanks for that! I bought the Anti-helios from a local pharmacy and haven't tried it yet.

I'm interested in the Sensi White Toner! Will add it to my wishlist and get it next time :)

        • I've also used the Anti-Helios sunscreen, it's very pricey yet still feels greasy on my face. Same result with the Neutrogena Ultra Sheer dry touch and the heavily scented Nivea Daily Face Veil sunscreen which were all disappointing and not cosmetically elegant.

I started using Asian brands (e.g Biore UV Watery Essence, Anessa, Allie) two summers ago and haven't looked back. They feel very lightweight with no white cast and are very much superior to the Western brands.

        • @Dadidalol: where do you source your Asian skincare brands? I'm interested to try some

        • @Dadidalol:

Note that some Asian brands might not adhere to the Australian sunscreen regulations/standards. Eg. 50spf Asian may not = 50spf aussie

I find Mecca To Save Face sunscreen+primer to be non greasy and no white cast. Great as makeup primer too.

          @Hen:

I usually pick up a few when I travel or transit through Singapore, Malaysia etc.

          Alternatively, try eBay or Yesstyle
The linked one is my personal favourite and I think it's generally the $15 mark. See reviews Here

Or if you're in Melbourne, there are lots of Asian skincare & makeup stores in the CBD and Box Hill area etc.

          Hope this helps!

          @Ughhh:
Thanks! I'll try it out when I run low on my current stash.

What you say is possibly true, but I have higher faith in Asian products nowadays :)
Especially Japanese and Korean skincare products, which are usually years ahead of Western counterparts.
If you've been to Japan or Korea, you'll probably notice how they take care of their skin religiously over there (this makes me think there's probably more to great skin than genetics…)

        • @Dadidalol: many thanks

      You mean @ Chemist warehouse?

  • Do they have click and collect?

    • +1

      No

      • +1

        thanks!

    • Don't risk it. Unless it's in your hands, it's not yours. There have been times when they refunded people cause they ran out of stock.

      • How? the poster above mentioned there is no C&C…

  • Do get caught like me! Cannot use Priceline GC purchased on Prezzie for online purchases. Rookie error

  • Wow I did not think there were that many women on here using OzB, I must have been so oblivious. Just all the women in my life don't care that much for saving/deals, trying to teach my wife is hard enough. Although she does love it when I tell her to buy all she needs/wants with deals like this where I can stack say 3 discounts at once haha. If only an AMEX PriceLine statements deal came out today

    • +8

      Women (incl me) LOVE bargains!

      • +4

Yeah. The more we save means the more we can buy 😁

    • Well, I think statistic wise, women are majority of the online shoppers.

    • +1

Ha! It’s the reverse. Teaching my husband never to pay full retail!
