I've been holding on to my Panasonic plasma till OLED prices get a bit lower. Honest question, what is so good about this tv that would make me jump?
Same here, I have a Panasonic plasma that has a great picture but it’s power usage concerns me. I would like to go OLED but I notice they too aren’t as efficient as LCD.
Agreed on the power consumption. :( I get home some days and my brother has the screen on playing Double J on the digital station. Facepalm.
Interesting regarding OLED per usage, will have to look into this. The rest of my home is filled with the most power efficient options possible…
Why didnt you jump when they were $1699 ??? Cant see them being this price for a very long time.
Ha, yeah I know. Hesitated. :/
I also still have a Pana plasma, not looking to upgrade anytime soon (54S20).
Re this deal, the tv is 100hz (well Jb has it on their website anyway), and if you're keen on watching the winter Olympics, you don't have to stress about the channel 7 red watermark burning in (on your plasma).
My Pana has some kind of 'orbital' pixel technology that prevents burn in. I do see temporary ghosting from time to time (after leaving my media player menu on for hours, etc) but it always goes away quickly.
Still got a pana plasma too. Love it’s picture. I had it wall mounted and threw out the stand. Renting now and a stand is 50bux. Easier to just buy one of these.

Great find - some ok prices on 65" as well. Surely a good sales rep could ditch gift card and do 10% off deal.
Insane price.
Attention People who spend $3000 for a TV, it is not a smart decision.
