Hi Ozbargainers!

Been a long time user of this site and have had a lot of fantastic deals, so I'd thought I'd post this freebie for parents and teachers who would like to help their children improve in primary Maths. We've built this software as a hobby over the years, and now we're giving it out to all Aussie parents and teachers :)

This Maths software is more game like so that our children can have fun while they are learning! It also has some neat features for teachers to manage their class as well as providing useful data so that every child will receive individualised attention without burning too much time.

The software is not perfect, but we would love to hear feedback for us to improve on it further!

We are trying to research on some machine learning to see how much it can help students and teachers. This feature is not yet available, but hopefully, we'll get there one day!

    What happens if you don't fit the categories but you still need help with primary school maths? Asking for a friend.

      It is free, so they can register the grade level for their child. The software does not tell the child what year work they are doing so they won't feel demotivated by using it.

        Great idea! So student can work in their own pace. You r doing great work for the community, eddie woo got australia of the year, i think u guys deserve it too. Btw, didn't know u guys also use ozbargain! This is such a great site with so many professionals, all Aussie should know about this site.

      Our software is encrypted and our server is in Melbourne :)

      And like Grale mentioned, you can always use dummy data if you are not comfortable with providing such information. We use the children's Maths results to better tailor their learning needs, and as for name, it's so that their character and pets will call them by their name :)

    Website looks good. I have registered and had a quick play around. Will surely get my son to try.
    OP, Have you got intelligence behind the level of questions presented to the child?
    My biggest concern with many sites (like IXL) is that level of questions stays same. Also there are not many word problems.
    Kids learn the basics but softwares are not preparing children with variety of word problems to prepare for other exams like OC and Selective schools.
    Also it would be good if questions are ranked 1-5 on the level of difficulty. This will give good idea if kids are able to answer difficult questions or making mistakes on easy questions.

      HI Amsaini,

      Our software does have intelligence in it :)

      The software is able to understand your child base on their strengths and weaknesses when they complete exercises and then personalise their learning(Improvement centre are where they need to improvements on, focus centre are what the software deems as areas they need to focus on). We are currently working on having the difficulty levels set to be up to 7 levels of difficulty for most topics ranging from easy to hard. This is a huge piece of work for our limited resources so it will be done in due time.

      Our software where it is has more intelligence than most out there but we're more passionate about using the current technology to really help children of all levels.

        Thanks OP. Once you have got quality questions, difficulty level and gone through corrections (as mentioned by @GnarlyKnuckles), you will have the best in the market.

        Currently many Pre-uni (for preparation of OC, Selective exams) are providing practice questions and tests to get kids run through variety of questions/scenarios to prepare them well.
        I am in for your software even with a subscription or particular exam preparation packs if you can compete at that level.
        You have definitely nailed on graphics and easy part is the quality and correctness of questions.
        (One e.g. question was write 3422 in words and my son wrote "three thousand four hundred and twenty two" but it was marked wrong because he missed out on grammatical "," after thousand. Surely kids shouldn't be marked on grammar in math question?

          That is what we are aiming for Amsaini! Thanks for the advice and compliment,

          Our software will improve constantly until one day where it will be able to help students of all level. Because everything is self-funded with our own time and efforts so we're doing the best we can :)

          With regards to the question, we've set it as per the Australian curriculum guidelines… And as per Gnarly's feedback, we'll need to also focus on the English aspect as well.

          The donations are so that we can develop the app and have offline access :)

          If there are enough backers for our software, then we keep pushing it to be the best software available for everyone.
