Still giving up the knife set for $16, I'd rather just keep what's left (unless every knife was ruined)

  • Anyone in Melbourne bought more than one and/or suffering from buyers remorse willing to offload one onto me for $20 bucks? Moving out for the first time at the end of this month and this would have been perfect.
Happy to drive over and pick up anywhere in the east/south east suburbs

    • Looks like they are still available on ebay.

      • Not any more

        • Available for me, must just be geo-targeted to show OOS when your area has nothing.

        • @doweyy: It wouldn't let me order one delivered on ebay - I found stock in Tamworth which I'll pick up on a work trip in a few weeks

        • Yes they are.

    • +6

      http://www.kmart.com.au/product/7-piece-knife-block-set/1026…

      • Damn scissors included has sold me.

      • Looks completely different to me.

      • Yes it does … almost certainly crap though.

      • Need a new bread knife, will get the kmart one :D

  • +1

Is it true that these knife blocks build up a lot of bacteria over time?

  • +1

    Wiltshire nowadays made average knives

    • +3

      No one's suggesting otherwise…

    • Haven't they always been average? Made in China @ $16.50 is better value than $999 Made in Germany.

    • +1

Ya think? I thought this ~$17 set of knives would be the bee's knees!

  • Excellent bought off Ebay - will be a good present for someone (wedding, engagement, new house)

  • Thanks
    . I needed a new bread knife

  • Thanks OP, bought some more for my friends as well. Noice!

    • Was it through ebay or in store? As for me it says out of stock, on ebay.

      • That was last night. Maybe they're out now :-(

      • Are you sure? It's still showing in stock on eBay for me.

Edit: You're right. Can't be added to cart. It's out of stock.

        • Seems to depend on location. I can add to cart and get to checkout for delivery and also click & collect at the few stores that still have stock left:

          Item (1) AU $16.51
          Postage AU $5.06
          Order total AU $21.57

  • Great deal - thanks OP!
Just ordered from EBay, pick up at Robina. Still stock available at Tweed too.

Out of curiosity, searched other areas - still stock available for pick-up in Bundy, Hervey Bay, Ipswich, Toowoomba and a stack of stores northside of Brisbane.

    • Hi limejen, may i know what size on your paring knife and cook knife? Mine showing paring 7.5cm and cook knife 15cm.

  • Hi Guys, TGG is out of stock.. Do you have any other working links to get a similar deal??

    • See my post above. EBay link is still working.

      https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/142526330613#shpCntId

      • It says out of stock.. I live in Sydney, i guess that is the issue..

        • +1

Buuut - you can put a different postcode (4210 eg), find a store that has stock, add to your basket and then at checkout, change from pick up to post. Just tried it - it should work. $5-ish postage. Good luck!

        • +1

@limejen: Really? I keep trying to buy it I can add to cart and get to checkout, but when I pay for it I get this error

This item isn't available in the requested quantity. It may have been purchased already, or the listing has expired.

          Error codes: 70203 70084

Hi, do you guys notice the paring knife, and the cook knife is different size from the description? Mine said paring knife 7.5cm, and cook knife 15cm or i got it wrong?

    • +3

You're right, the website description doesn't match what it says on the box or what's in the box.

      • +3

Thats funny, i was so happy for the price of 20cm cook knife but when i did open it and it very small.

        • +3

Good pick up that it wasn't 20cm, I didn't think to measure, just looked small

    • +2

I was gonna warn people that the knives are smaller than "normal" ie my current cooks knife but didn't realise it was falsely advertised. I think I'll be returning mine.

  • Thanks OP …got one from ebay store

  • expired??
"This item isn't available in the requested quantity. It may have been purchased already, or the listing has expired."

      Grande Sale, Grande Sale!

  • +1

Got mine today, awesome for the price. Thanks op.

  • Why is this marked as expired hamza? It’s still live for me, with C&C stock in 3 stores around me.

    • Ah thanks I'll remove expiry. I initially set it as 14th Feb as that is when the sale ended on the website.

  • I just picked mine up today.
There is no bread knife. But 2 of the larger knife.
Anyone else get a double up?

    • nope…sounds like you got a dud box?

      • must have.
Because I have 2 of the larger knife's, the second one is too wide to fit the slots.
