Was waiting for a deal on these undies as could not stomach paying near 15 bucks for a pair of undies when you can normally get a 2/3 packs (albeit standard cotton) for that price.

Nope. They don't. I was wearing one yesterday and even went to the gym and did sweat a fair bit, was impressed that the undies were super comfortable.
Sounds like I will need to buy both and compare! Since doing more walking and jogging, I found my previously reliable H&M, CK and Holeproof going downhill with time.
any specific ones from aldi I need to be aware off?

Anyone know the differences between the regular and low rise airism boxer briefs?
I actually got this airsim boxers for less than six bucks cheap as dirt though uniqlo online store plus cash rewards back in Nov 2015. Best boxers Ive ever had compared to my other quick dry undies including Levi's Adidas and Decathlon. Geat for workout and daily uses
