Just wandered into Coles at Morisset NSW to find mandarins at $1/kg. Usually imported mandarins are around $10/kg at this time if year. Service desk could not shed any light on why price was so cheap

Thanks for the heads up!! Heading up there to grab some tomorrow :D
I'd go and ask them myself but I don't speak Mandarin
I heard Mandarins can understand a bit of Orange
edit
ok, my "joke" didn't make sense.
+1 for spelling mandarin correctly. Unlike the signs in IGA for the non-existent fruit MANDARINES. (Unless they're a cross between Mandarins and Tangerines).
The mandarin orange (Citrus reticulata; Chinese: 橘子 or 桔子; pinyin: júzi), also known as the mandarin or mandarine, is a small citrus tree with fruit resembling other oranges.
Be nice to try an imported product and see how it compares to aussie grown …. now for Valencia oranges from Valencia ……
Mandirins get sour pretty quickly, they're something that needs to be eaten pretty quickly off the tree
Gonna grab 10kg
